Barry indicated it was relatively minor.
Good that he's setting the tone regarding discipline. Even if it's only time keeping. Or dirty boots.
A rugby club I played for would fine us if we turned up for a game with dirty boots.

I went on a football club "tour". We were fined if we took our boots. Don't remember much of that weekend.....

Just watched BBM's pre-match press conference for the Port Vale game. Very impressive and articulate even if he uses more words than necessary.

I really like this bloke and the energy he brings. Seems very proactive and committed - he could be the one to change things at pitch level.

Some good words here too. Words that will endear him to the board and backroom staff as well.

As for press conferences, he does ramble a bit on occasion, but seemingly when he is emphasising a point that he doesn't want missed.
He seems relaxed and speaks with a personal feel with journalists. He often refers back to previous discussions had. That raport with the hacks will get him some slack from them.

All in all a rounded individual.

Still a long way to go and it'll be interesting to see how journalists, the board and the fans react when we hit a bump.

Can't imagine Alnwick being happy with 3rd choice. He wore the armband quite a bit last season and didnt we give him a new contract?

I agree Turner should play tomorrow. Give Trott a run out in the cup.

With B B-M's pursuit of Trott and the emergence of Turner, he seems to have created a goalkeeping dilemma.
1st and 2nd choice seem fine, though currently, in what order? I'd stick with Turner in the short term. Give Trott a run out in the cup.
    Horvarth on his way out.
    What happens next?
Alnwick out the door with a 20 year old as 3rd choice? Keep an experienced keeper who was captain for a chunk of last season?
Move Alnwick on and sign a young No 3?
Keep Alnwick and send Turner out on loan?

I'd go with the 20 year old 3rd keeper. A slight risk, but not a biggie.

Assuming Horvath goes, then, as elsewhere in the side, we would be faced with a .major lack of experience at keeper were Alnwick to leave as well.

Much depends on where Alnwick stands in the keeper pecking order and is he happy with that.

I would keep him and let the 4th choice, is that Dennis, get experience on loan.

Given he was no 2 on Saturday, and we won't have signed Trott to be no 3, I'd say Alnwick is no 3.
Don't think he'll be happy with that.

I agree but both Trott and Turner have very limited experience. I think some sort of track record is needed in that position.A conundrum for BBM to solve.

It doesn't seem to be B B-M's way. If it was, Lawlor and Kpakio wouldn't have started on Saturday.
Joel has quite a bit of experience even though he's not much older.
Turner is 23, Trott 26. Trott has played quite a bit of 1st team football, Turner hasn't.
Turner seems to have impressed in training which is where B B-M makes his judgement. He said Turner was the obvious choice.
No wrong answer. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

McGuinness on the bench for Luton again. Surely he would like to come back here as first choice?

    The board would never spend.

BBM is having to work on scraps. I think even some frees are out of our price range.

Daaland on the way out. We definitely need centre back cover as well as both full backs.

Here's the article on Daland. Also mentions Horvath and Alnwick. BBM says he expects signings but no specifics.

Clearly with Daland leaving we will need a new centre back.

My wish list would be for a 6ft 4ins monster who likes roughing up opposing forwards, is quick and decisive in the tackle and can weigh in with a few set piece goals.

How many of those boxes will be ticked?
