Pretty awful innings from Bethell

 

Ridiculous that Dawson was dropped for Bethell.

 

Did nothing apart from somehow “being there” for Root to get 100. I get he’s young, left handed but jeez, those 2 batting performances were ****e.

 

Let’s be honest. We all secretly want Woakes to have to come out at 9 down with 1 to win

 

Given the amount the ball is moving again, he might already be adjusting his sling in anticipation.

Obviously these wickets are bad. But furthermore, the drying up of runs is bringing the new ball into the equation.

I might even make India slight favourites now.

 

Now for Jamie to justify his ludicrous selection. If we wanted him for the extra batting...

Getting edgy

 

Smith needs to score, not just survive.

 

I’m guessing he probably knows that. Unbelievable pressure on him though.

 

Although I suppose on the flip side, Siraj and Prasidh starting bowling after 69 overs. So by the time we get to 80 overs, neither may have many overs left in them.

 

He needs to settle himself first
