They’ll have to drag him kicking and screaming. He genuinely seems to love the club and looks to be a big character in the squad judging by the videos that we see. I’d be sad to see him go. I think he could have a big part to play this season, albeit most of it probably from the bench.
Same but only because with Guiu we now have three good "backup" strikers but nobody really ready to lead the line week in, week out in the Prem, imo. We need that player and 4 guys fighting for one spot is too much imo so one of them will have to leave. Guiu just got here, and I'd rather we keep hold of, and develop, Mayenda which leaves Isidor as the odd man out, unfortunately.
Theres absolutely no chance we will or should be letting him go. If he’d had a full pre season i’d have started him against west ham hopefully hes fit for next weekend
After seeing him in the flesh yesterday, something that seems to be underplayed is how good is his ball control under pressure and in tight spaces, I know it’s early days but he looks like he’s going to be hard to omit from the starting lineup
I hope Wilson stays think he’ll do a very good job for us in the prem and he does seem genuinely happy to be here
I don’t know what it is with some of our supporters. It was only six months ago that they were ****ing themselves into oblivion that he’d signed a contract with us. Now he’s considered to be the worst striker in the team. We have to be very careful that we don’t turn into that lot up the road.
It’s all about what we bring in. If a profit on him buys better I wouldn’t mind. I’ve thought for a while we might surprisingly lose a good player to fund another Xhaka level signing.
I dont think our problem is the striker/strikers its the set up that does not bring the best out of them, shame but Reg only has one plan and it is not for changing.
Well said EJK....we have some fans with very short memories and short attention spans imo. Nobody's suggesting we didn't have to improve the squad but some have written off almost the entire squad who won at Wembley and I find that utterly embarrassing.
