Burnley not offering too much as they sign armando Broja on a 5 year deal from Chelsea. He’s been shyt for 2 seasons at least
A bit frustrating again on the tranny front with regard to Leicesters BEK as nobody has cash just yet to buy him except Leeds, everyone who is supposed to want him needs cash from a sale like Palace, so why haven’t we just offered the buy out fee and get it done we do seem to mess about a bit too much
James Justin now important for FARKE so will we try and do BEK and JJ at the same time, they can always have a Sam Greenwood or Gyabi thrown in
Manor Solomon - Would now be a great signing this week as he knows the setup and could slot straight in ready for Everton
He's injured so wouldn't be ready for Everton but yeah, he'd be a big upgrade on what we currently have for the season.
After what Frank said about the wingers he has at his disposal aand the players like Tel and Johnson he can also play there (He never mentioned Solomon) you just know he doesn’t feature for Spurs. So imagine Leeds have spoken to Spurs but the problem now will be Levy
As much as this might hurt to hear, we are the small fry in this league. The 'easy' business has been done. The tricky stuff is getting the quality signings in the final third. We are at the end of the queue and have to wait our turn. However, dominoes do start to fall as the transfer window moves toward its conclusion. Two significant ones have fallen over the last 48 hours that may or may not influence our business. The first, and most obvious, one is Manor Solomons position at Spurs. He's got a niggling injury and it is becoming clear that Thomas Frank doesn't need him. That would allow us to go and sign him. Interestingly, Farke even name checked him yesterday. This one might have legs as the window progresses. The next one happened yesterday. Rumours are that scum want Sesko. They are willing to let Rasmus Hojlund leave for around £30 million. That's within our price range and if wages could be sorted it's possible something could be worked out. Its a bit unlikely this one but it's an example of how our 'final third' business will be conducted. We have to let the big boys eat first and we'll pick up the best of the scraps.
Yup. And Strikers and wingers are the hardest to get over the line in any case because goals are currency and everybody is after them. I am 100% confidence that we have ‘understandings’ with clubs that when they get player x we can buy player y. Thats how it works. The problem is they may not get player x, and there are likely others after player y. It’s a waiting game and a gamble. The only way to avoid it is to offer over the odds. Which we can't afford to do. It’s possible you end up with 17th choice and the recruitment team get slagged for their inexperience and naivety… or the club get slagged for being tightwads. Reality is we’re close to the bottom of the PL food chain.
Hojlund was a target for alot of clubs before going there, where he seems to have gone backwards, in today's £30m isnt a bad deal, wages could be the issue. No more of a gamble than Muniz for me is no way a £50m player. Could get Hojlund and BEK for not much more than just Muniz, who won't be coming anyway
Milky is right on the food chain front and competing with either established prem clubs or clubs in Euro comps. For example Spurs fans and Spurs podcasters talking about Spurs and Leeds competing for Arnuad Kalimuendo. This is the second time Leeds have been after him as Bielsa tried to prise him out of PSG, he’s now at Rennes and came third in the French Golden Boot last season with 17 goals, but obviously logic says he goes to Spurs unless he’s worried he won’t start or worried about Franks credentials. Emu also mentioned earlier about dominoes dropping and we know Sesko wanted by Newcastle and Man Utd, but also some saying Kalimuendo is liked but there’s also Mitrovic on Man Utd’s wish list. Theres also Nakunku from Chelsea to go somewhere and that lumbering buffoon Jackson also leaving Chelsea, Juventus have just signed Jonaton David and chasing Kolo Muani which means they need to offload at least one striker maybe Yildiz. Athletico need to offload a striker now and that could be Sorloth. So it’s going to be wait and see for a striker unless we have dug up an unknown that’s gone under the radar
According to YEP and other outlets Leeds ramping up contacts with Leicester and BEK who we offered £50k per week to plus paying his full release clause and other associated expenses for Leicester. James Justin also a priority as he can play both full back roles. Seb Bornou’s agent is the same agent for BEK too.
We need to avoid James Justin at all costs. A few years ago he looked really good but he has had a serious injury (knee i think) and since then he has been largely poor. Last season he was dreadful for Leicester and only played games because of injury to Pereira. He will be behind Pereira again this season in the Championship. One to stay away from.
