Yep. Read the rules and still forgot the Joker. It's a lot to think about at my age please log in to view this image
I’m usually quite strict about late jokers - I mean double point matches, not Plym being last in of course. Statistically, it seems right everyone should have to pick from 12 matches, not less. However, as it’s your first go, I’ll allow a special one off never-to-be-repeated deal. I sound like a discount store don’t I?
Sorry I completely forgot that its League 1 and it started this weekend. Will need to come from behind (like our Lionesses) Stockport 1 Bolton 1 I appreciate I wont be able to use a Joker! End of Year 5th - End of Season 5thm(and promotion via the play-off's!!)
Welcome back smh......you didn't miss much yesterday....or should I rephrase that and say......we didn't miss much...
Bring back green shield stamps....and free Coca-Cola glasses at garages..... and petrol cost 6 shillings and 6 pennies per gallon (33p today).....blimey I'm showing my age.
Can we have less talk about coming from behind and the Lionesses please. Gets more like a Carry On film every day on here.
Sorry about the rather late kalukations. After a long debate about whether my other half should have a new mobile phone (I said yes, there are great bargains out there with the iPhone 17 launch on the horizon, but she said no, so no it is), she ran out of airtime on Friday. And so the world fell silent. A large swathe of the mobile phone network was switched off due to an unexpected collapse in phone traffic. A great hunt was started to find anyone who actually knew her account password. After great confusion, it finally became clear yesterday afternoon that she HAD been reconnected all the time, but a switch that nobody knew existed or had access to in her phone settings was "Off" when it should have been "On". I'm to blame apparently. So, what I've done is to produce the results for the Old Guard. I'll then set to on adding Ron and providing the final results. A great start from Lyndhurst with Musty not far behind. Three points from the Goal Time just scraped me into double-digits otherwise Sensible and I would in reality have been bringing up the rear as SMH only got one game forecast in. Home wins for Cardiff (20) and Rotherham (12) were the top points generating games.
Meanwhile, here is the match text for the next round. Port Vale - Cardiff City Peterborough United - Luton Town Reading - Huddersfield Town AFC Wimbledon - Lincoln City Barnsley - Burton Albion Bolton Wanderers - Plymouth Argyle Exeter City - Blackpool Leyton Orient - Wigan Athletic Mansfield Town - Doncaster Rovers Northampton Town - Bradford City Stevenage - Rotherham United Wycombe Wanderers - Stockport County For some bizarre reason, this kicks off at 8pm on Thursday 7th August. The idea of this Ron is to save you the trouble of typing out the team names: just copy it and insert your predicted scores. Or, if you really, really like typing the same names out every week, you can do your own... but please don't change the order otherwise it'll all go horribly wrong.
