Just over a week to go til the start of the season so seems a good time to roll this out again. Congrats to me who got all his predictions right last time and likely will again.

Impossible to say though really as it largely depends on whether Still is upto it.

I'm going with some cautious optimism but it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't in which case we'll finish 7th/8th.

Agree it’s really hard to call at this moment, partly to do with Still and also absolutely no idea how the rest of the transfer window is going to play out. Going with the squad as it is today then I don’t think Still is really a factor as the quality should be able to get top 6 even if *insert whichever **** manager you want* was in charge.

But it obviously won’t be the squad come September 1st and how many leave and who we sign is going to have a huge impact. Of the teams who are predicted to be going for autos (us, Sheff Utd, Ipswich, Brum, Leicester) we are going to have the most turnover in August by a mile I think.

Impossible to make an informed prediction when so much is still likely to change with our team and squad.. I'll make predictions based on everything as it is right now. Even though that's going to be quite different to the end of the transfer window. But right now we still have Fernandes and Dibling and I can live in hope that we will bring in a no.1 to replace Ramsdale.

Finishing Position: 2 (it's not in our DNA to come 1st)

Promotion?: Yes

Most improved/breakout player: Most improved = Sugawara, Breakout = Robinson

1. Finishing position - 9th

4. Player of the season- Downs

5. Break out Player- Robinson

6. Still will not be sacked this season but will get us promoted in 26 /27.

7. Points against Portsmouth - 1 (Home draw.)

8. Disappointment of the season - losing Dibling, Fernandes, Charles and THB in September.

9. Other issues ..... striking problems as Armstrong, Brereton Diaz and Dibling sold. Archer underwhelms and Ross injured and misses most of the season. Flynn Downes sold.

10. Robinson poached in next summer's window.

11. Saints to finish below Portsmouth but Mousinho to be poached by Premier league club before close of season

How are we losing players in September after the transfer window has closed? (Unless you think they’re all going on Sept 1 which is the final day).

Most improved/breakout player: Robinson x Injury ruined that prediction,

Disappointment of the season: Being boring. x Well I didn't reckon on Rule 127. it certainly wasn't boring

Will we beat points total from last Champ Season (87): NO. Tick

Number of signings for Goztepe/Valenciennes: 0 Tick

Points v Pompey: 2. Tick

Main Problem(s) A week squad, lacking in a finishing forward or a creative midfielder, a dominating centre back or a decent GK. x The club addressed these issues.
