GREEN LIGHT....it says GREEN LIGHT...see it? Ring any bells? Hotels? Aye, @malagamackem was right all along.
£9m per year is a hell of a lot. The equivalent of a £45m signing if it was a younger player. I guess they feel they can swallow it this season. Hopefully he is more than worth it. Defo reduces our flexibility considerably, though. Maybe we can balance it by going for a cheaper keeper. Ortega seems more sensible now.
I couldn't give a **** about any arguments rn, we are signing xhaka, i'm just glad the club see the value and are paying what they wanted, I personally thought it was reasonable given his quality and experience and the contract he had
We really need to tweak how the other two in our midfield are working IMO. Lots of chatter on Neil, but for me the bigger concern is how we can make Le Fee more effective. He's not been maximised playing as a 10 in a r&w shirt to date.
Yes. But he did pass the contract up last season. That has cost the player quite a lot of money I'd imagine. But it's not my business, they are all on wild money to normal people. But, as with Xhaka, the situation cannot go on much longer. If I was Dan I'd be signing up. There are a lot worse places for him to be, however green the grass might look over the fence.
3-4 gives us more flexibility in the market this year, but more risk if we get relegated. 2-3 the opposite. You pays your money, you takes your choice.
How does it show he was right he told us he saw him in a hotel on a stopover waiting to fly to UK. And that the player wanted the move. We knew he wanted to come here and it was between clubs what he told us doesn’t prove anything with the transfer as Xhaka hasn’t turned around and gone oh yeah they’re offering the 20 now he was back in training for days and played for Leverkusen after Malaga claimed he was on a stopover waiting to fly to UK If it was true that he saw him that’s fine, it’s got nothing to do with the transfer being complete though
