I think it’s a game where Sunderland play Augsburg outside of the EPL or other league’s framework, where the game is non competitive and generally used as a ‘warm-up’ for the players prior to a season starting.
You'll probably find the squad split in half with youngsters added to play both games. Wouldn't surprise me if a fair few players play the whole 90mins
