Whilst I agree with you, they have only done this as they have had to. The Championship has a much better class of carthorse. It remains to be seen if they gel, but at least we're beginning to resemble a 'normal' working club, for the time being.

Without having had a chance to judge the new players, you have to trust NJ's judgement and knowledge, as the 0wners have done. It looks as though we can expect a more watchable brand of football than last season, when basically our superb defence got us promoted.
Elfs usually gives the team 15 games. That's probably sensible, as Charlton were 2nd in the league after 6 games under Bowyer, and we all know how that turned out. And even last season, sitting 14th at the end of November, only Bexleyboy believed we could still go up. So miracles can happen...
