Watching children being killed, maimed, orphaned and treated with international contempt.
We see Palestine every day on the news, and it is massively hypocritical to abhore the Holocaust, yet tolerate the treatment of the people of Palestine. This is not a political argument, it is a gut-wrenching expression of horror at how diplomacy and political tomfoolery can have such a disgusting and abhorrent human consequence. Are we not better than this?

People who think you can just go and do stuff like this

You must log in or register to see media
I remember when I was at Hull KR and the police turned up at training looking for one of our players. They wanted to look in his flat after allegations of someone stealing ducks from East Park. Sure enough his bath was full of feathers!! Makka thought it was fine to go hunting after training.

Just been to see Peter Kay in Manchester. Guy just in front of us on his feet non stop desperately trying to get noticed by shouting out pointless crap. Don't understand why they don't get rid of people like this.

Great show though, really enjoyed it. Worth waiting 3 years for!

You should take the one off from around your neck. As an aside, I'm fairly sure someone once told me they'd read Stanley Gene's autobiography, and he wrote about killing a duck in East Park, taking it home and cooking it. Apparently he didn't do it again as it was as tough as Alf Tupper. :emoticon-0138-think

As long as they killed the Canadian goose humanely, I don't see the difference between that and eating any wild meat - it's a non-indigenous animal that's become a pest in Europe due to lack of predators. I wouldn't eat one that's lived in urban areas though - it will be full of toxic ****e. No different from anyone catching a fish and eating it.
Big difference!! Permitted fishing is legal, killing wild birds isn't...

Hope this helps:emoticon-0148-yes:

Just seen this post now I've woken up and read the thread properly. It wasn't Stan who the police came for but he might have done it, I will ask him.

It was my father in law who signed John Okul and Stanley came along for the ride. John wouldn't sign without his mate so they got both but it was Okul they wanted. They lived with my missus and her dad for a little while and then they moved them into a flat above lucky star. One day they had been told to come to their house for 'tea' and mother in law had prepared them a massive Sunday roast, All the trimmings etc. The daft sods had no idea that it meant a meal and they thought she meant a cuppa so smashed in a massive feast from lucky star then set off. Still managed to deal with the full Sunday lunch 15 mins later as well :emoticon-0140-rofl:

The PNG boys really take some settling. Makali just didnt didn't understand the culture and thought the ducks were fair game. He now buys sheep hearts from the butchers and pretty much lives off them. About 60p for 5 big lumps!!

We had 2 at Featherstone Rovers and when the kit man went to do a house inspection they were living in just the front room. They had never been upstairs. They were washing, peeing and dumping in the kitchen sink and only getting showered at post office Road. They didn't know they could even go upstairs. Thought it was someone else's house.

Father in law tells a story about when Marcus Bai came and they had gone to pick him up from his flat. When they got there he was sat in darkness with a candle. He flicked the light switch on and Marcus kind of curled up in a ball like it was some kind of witch craft! These lads often came straight from the jungle and had no help on adapting. Its different now of course as PNG is developing.

Anyway, there are your morning tales from PNG.

It's illegal, full stop. You might disagree with the law but it's still illegal.

PNG
Preston Rd n Greatfield?? Sounds the same Jim

I'm not disputing that.
You said it was the same as catching and eating a fish,so essentially you were disputing it?We don't nip out to ponds and lakes in this Country, help ourselves to the wildlife and slaughter it.

Would you put up with it in your own backyard or is it easy to normalize it in the U.K because you don't live in among it?

You know what really grinds my gears. People still having faith in Acun despite 3 years of going backwards to the point of a fee restriction embargo. When will you lose faith? How bad does it need to get?

I hunt one deer once a year as have land rights as result of my farm (or used to, as my neighbour now does it in my name and we split the meat, to keep the right associated with the property - if it's not done for three consecutive years, it lapses). I shot one of my older sheep last month as it had a twisted intestine and so was dying slowly. I've had chickens in the past and slaughtered them, and shot foxes that were trying to eat them. I've shot hare and pigeon in the past, to eat. Used to enjoy hunting, no longer do, so don't do it. So, i do it in my own backyard, as such.

I eat meat, but let's not pretend that the commercial meat industry is any way less savage than taking a wild bird, just because it's hidden and dressed up in legality.

As for the immigrants issue, all migrants should be registered, finger printed, DNA stored whilst waiting for authorisation. All should be expected to follow the laws of the country they enter. Money shouldn't be given that is used for gambling, nor should private hotels be used to house them. A dead goose is not a big issue to me, sexual and violence offences are.

You've successfully deflected and waffled your way out of your original stance which normalised extremely odd and disturbing behaviour.Quite happy to leave it at that to be honest:emoticon-0148-yes:
