the ball moves faster than the man…if he can be conductor in the middle & spread the passes forward…then why not???

He was frigged after 20 minutes in a pre-season friendly when the intensity was significantly lower compared to a Championship game. Despite starting as the deepest midfielder, he was that out of position and too lazy to track back for İstanbulspor’s goal that Slater and Palmer were tracking further back. Complete liability. It’s a joke we even let him join us for pre-season.

To be honest Jim if the players read these forums and took any notice they wouldn’t bothering pulling their boots on again. They probably read these comments for a good laugh when socialising.
In my experience thats exactly what happens. And in extreme cases like, such as one at Doncaster RL, where a fan was hunted down and offered out in the car park :emoticon-0102-bigsm

He’s incredibly average. He’s not terrible but I don’t understand the clamour some City fans have over certain players linked to us. I’m convinced a lot of City fans who think Shelvey and Lundstram would be great signings are basing it on their name and the leagues they played in 5-10 years ago instead of their actual ability.
His numbers in his last season for Rangers definitely weren’t!

51 chances created
5 assists
6.5 recoveries per game!!!
1.7 tackles per game

I’d rather someone like Simons or Slater in midfield than Shelvey in the Championship. Working hard and keeping in good physical condition is the bare minimum for an athlete at this level and Shelvey can’t even manage that.
There's no point in banging on about Simons, he's gone. Probably a mistake, but he's gone.

We ain’t gonna sign a midfielder who can pass like Hoddle & Pirlo and then that same player can run like (insert world beater here) and shoot like (insert other world beater here). They’re top league players. We’re a Bottom end championship team with no money to spend
And consequently, we should be targeting players who can run, scrap and battle first and foremost.

Which is Lundstram’s game, he probably falls into the Slater bracket. Just done it at a higher level for better teams. Bit more of a physical unit also. I’m not Slater’s biggest fan at all, but have been hugely impressed in the 2 turkey friendlies

We will finally see what Carl Rushworth is all about on the first day of the season. He has joined Coventry on loan.

He’s an alright player. Is he worth north of £30K-a-week? In my opinion, no.

People are annoyed at Giles and Ömür being our highest earners on around £35K-a-week.

For £15-20K-a-week, Lundstram would be a decent signing. Anything more would just be silly and shows no learning from mistakes by the ownership at all. We needed new ownership months ago.

I don’t think the EFL will approve anyone on £30k a week definitely not north of it.

Omur and his agent should be locked up if he is taking £35k a week out of this club. Likewise Sinik and his agent, who should be doing time for robbery. In fact does anyone know who the agents are and do they have any links to Acun?

We had a group of technically talented players last year but lacked the grit, fight, leadership and character and nearly got relegated. He provides a lot of what we need. Those numbers from his last year at Rangers are top.

And if you're a young midfielder coming into a midfield with either him, Slater, & Crooks, it makes it an awful lot easier to impress. Compared to last year where it was a youthful/inexperienced/weak midfield more often than not.

I actually really liked our midfield balance with Puerta / Alzate / Slater. We dominated Leeds for a spell with them
