Don't see why we'd buy him when he flopped for man city

Same as what's been said above, don't want to take the risk of him flopping again.

We've reduced the impact of stroppy arseholes in the team, we don't need to go adding to it<laugh>

He'd have to be special to get into our side at the moment!

I reckon torres is gone in January and Pato or Robinho will be joining us because were need a striker while Drog is on ACN duty and i just don't think AVB has confidence in Torres, i think his feel his given him enough chances and although his played good in my opinion i just don't think AVB thinks he can rely on him and i feel unfortunately Torres will be moving on, he still is a world-class striker and he can't be sitting on the bench i feel so sorry for him but atm Drog is just undroppable and i just don't think our team is right for Torres and it's ruining him

Drogba can be shown the door, Sturridge is the future, as is Torres (he has a 5 year contract...he at least found the goal more regularly this season...and it must be remembered he is being used as a sub often, much rather have him knowing that when he does find confidence again, he will be brilliant)

AVB needs to have the balls to kick Kalou, Drogba, Alex (transfer listed already by consent), Bosingwa, Malouda, Anelka (already done), Mikel out and buy in new talent (YOUNGER!) plus Essien and Ferreira = 9

    ---

    Strikers: Sturridge, Torres, Lukaku

Midfield: Ramires, Meireles, Romeu, Lampard, Mata, McEachran

Defenders: Cole, Luiz, Terry, Ivanovic, Bertrand, Van Aarnholt

    GK: Cech, Courtois

    ---

    Need in Transfer Window (Jan):

    1 right-winger (Thomas Muller anyone?)
    1 advanced playmaker (Kaka anyone?)
    1 right-back (who is GOOD)
    1 central defender (Cahill anyone?)

Plus, give game time to McEachran (replaces Essien), Bertrand (long-term replacement to Cole), Romeu (replacement to Mikel), Lukaku (replacement to Drogba)

    Agreed.

Quality on his day (i.e a sunny saturday afternoon at home against mediocre opposition) but a waste of space most of the time, plays when he feels like it and thinks he's better than he is. Compare this to say Mata....

I'm all for more attacking talent but surely players like Hulk, the guys at Napoli, any of Madrids surplus (once they get Neymar) etc would be better bets??
