That or it means he's failed a medical....Pink 'Un reporting that Wolfsburg have pulled out of a deal to sign Sargent, happy days
PinkUn now reporting that Sargent ‘snubbed’ the move to Wolfsburg. Possible the wages on offer at the likes of Burnley or Leeds would be more appealing…or maybe he wants to stay!!!Pink 'Un reporting that Wolfsburg have pulled out of a deal to sign Sargent, happy days
There has been a lot said about Sarge needing to move to get into the US squad for the World Cup, but are they missing the fact that he just hasn’t done it on the International stage for USA. If the league were a problem for Pochetinho then why has Agyemang, recently in the USA squads, just moved to Derby. Obviously he didn’t think it would damage his chances of a call up. If Sarge outscores him in the same league then surely he moves above him in selection, with Sarge having the bonus of knowing the leagueAs things stand, he may well not even be in the US squad for the World Cup. Playing in the Bundesliga might at least improve his chances of participating. Surely the best way for us to ensure we benefit is via a sell on clause in any contract of sale?
I don't think so Suffolk. I think I'm right in saying Agymang has been an ever-present for the US this year, scoring 5 goals in 12 appearances. He is close to being in the "first name on the team sheet" category when it comes to US forward players as far as I can see. I don't see Sarge displacing him; if he displaces anyone it will be one of the other front line players e.g Coventry's Haji Wright or one of the MLS contingent....... So a move won’t help Sarge in gaining his place back in the national team, due to his performances for the national team not domestically.I don't think so Suffolk. I think the arrival of Schlupp has put this rumour to bed.Rumours that Jamal Lewis may return as a free agent
€19m is about £16.5m. I would go for 1 and 3 from above. Then 2 when 1 and 3 weren’t up to valuation. £16.5m seems low for a proven goal scorer, but Sargent’s injury record might have persuaded the German side to offer less. As a fan, I would think £16.5m is low, but perhaps that’s being optimistic.
