Don't know what is was with Black Sabbath but I never really liked them, but could understand why people did. It's weird in a way because I should like them, due to the time and the instrumental, something about it just didn't work for me, but made them very rich.

Thinking about it now, it's like the vocals and instrumentals don't mix, but actually do lol. It wasn't as if I hadn't come in much contact with their music, because back in the 70's my mate was nuts about them, never saw it myself.

Although Ozzie and his Mrs were always ok by me. So RIP big man. <peacedove>

Likewise, I appreciate Sabbath's influence, but they're generally too slow and bluesy for me, I like metal fast and loud.

Dio was an amazing singer, but he never suited Sabbath, this song is freakin incredible though:

The vocal climax is quite beyond...

The darker, the deeper, the better...so much more depth to it.

"Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again"

Prefer this video though...

Play starts at 2 minutes...skip to 6 mins if you want to cut out all the chat and pissing about...
Drummer revealed at 10 mins+ to her...
I guess she did well, still can't believe she hadn't heard of the song.

Yup. you can hear that Turning Japanese in there.

Took this from AI...

AI Overview

The Vapors were co-managed by Bruce Foxton, the bassist from The Jam, and John Weller, Paul Weller's father and manager of The Jam. They were discovered by Foxton while playing at a pub in Guildford. This led to them supporting The Jam on their "Setting Sons" tour, which helped propel them to wider recognition.

Yeah I remember that from years ago, when Comm was around, because it came up in topic.

Tbph it's probably one of the reasons I'm not overkeen on strumming a guitar, I just find it so repetitive...plus I can't sing, which you really need to be able to do to get away with that, which is what he is demonstrating. Take the vocals away you are ****ed...well unless you are Status Quo, which was the original debate I believe.

I thought Quo had six chords which is why I found that funny
