Fortunately, unlike some members, Nigel has publicly backed Bart. And his opinion is the only one that really counts. We all know he has the talent, and Nige and the team will get his confidence back.

Bart messed up but we got a point. We will also lose games because strikers are off form...let's just leave this to Nigel. I bet Bart plays in the FA Cup in January.

Please don't say this...I want him to get his confidence back but not in that particular cauldron.

Well if Davis nearly made the squad yesterday he's hardly going to be injured a week later ?

Bart is a contracted SFC player and we should be getting behind him and building his confidence up like NA, his staff and his team mates will be doing this week. He wouldn't have spent so much time at the club if he was a bad keeper, i'm pretty sure that NA (as a former keeper) would have shipped him out before now. This is the first time i've seen him play badly and any keeper can have a 'mare' game, just look at De Gea at Manure when he started there. It serves no purpose to crucify the lad and make him even more nervous.

Was at yesterday's game and couldn't believe it was Bart out there. I took up my seat as the teams were coming out but someone sat close to me said Bart looked shot through during the warm-up, looks like he was taken completely by surprise and not enough time to prepare himself. Remember this is the guy who was keeping KD out of the team in our play-off run-in in 2007: I remember that great 6-0 away day at Wolves where he kept everything out, including a penalty. I have no hesitation in stating Bart is a good keeper and that he will react well to this setback

However, if KD is fit for P**pey, there's NO WAY that NA will play Bart in that game COYS

Not sure how true this is:
But I've been told by a family member that Bart was 'nervous' ahead of the play-off second leg v Derby, which is why KD came back into the team (half injured). Apparently their were reports at the time saying the same thing...

If Bart is playing next week he better be ready because everytime he's about to kick or catch the ball, Pompey fans will jeer and put him off! This could only worsen him!

Have you ever had a bad day at the office / work ?
Did you get the sack for making a few mistakes ?

If yes then I agree with you, NA will stick with him and Bart will learn from it.

I bet he comes back stronger and earns us some points................
    Happy Christmas

Hey long time viewer not really a poster but i had to in this. These comments really are pathetic and show no real support to the club, or bart. It seems most have forgotten all the things he did for us a few years ago when he was breaking through and looked like hed be our number with some fantastic performances. I remember the day very well he got that nasty injury against newcastle and was i gutted as he was brilliant. Now some of you treat him as if hes a criminal......What is the point in booing our players to just add added pressure?
The guy got injured has been out for a long time with no real matches, and you wonder why he maybe a little nervous? Used to play week in week out in Premier, and now hes come in at perhaps a bad point in losing 2/3 of our last games whilst we are top of the league with so much added presure from fan's expectations, after a few years out and a handful of cup appearence? of course nerves are going to get to him. Fair enough he had a bad game but jesus who doesnt. To call for his head after 1 bad game is laughable and perhaps shows us the plastic fans who are only joining in our current form to claim glory who dont remember his good old days.

    Interesting.....if true

Was at that game and I don't think Kelv was half-injured as he'd been warming the bench for the previous 3 or 4 games !! Unforgettable night COYS

A bad game because of lack of practice is one thing, but if it is a temperament problem this had better be sorted. It can only get worse at a team so close to the big time that every game is of major importance.
Perhaps we do need another goalkeeper!

Didn't Matej Rondos supposedly **** himself around the same time when there was an opportunity to progress to or come off the bench?
(can't believe I remembered his name. searched for old youth teams in vain and then it just came to me)

on a tangent, I noticed Romain Gasmi is knocking em in on a regular basis for Bangkok United these days.

It definately rings a bell - although I don't recognise that particular player's name (the keeper in question was Slovakian wasn't he?)

that was Andrej Pernecky - the resulting 5-0 defeat at Hull because Michael Poke was playing through injury never to be seen again after

and about Gasmi, I always thought he looked slightly o the dark side ;)
