How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters
    23
no she didn't she just said it was a different form of racism as you cannot necessarily tell someone is from either of those groups but if you are black it is clear*

* having said that when the racism storm about Meghan Markle i swear i didn't know she was "black"

I was the same with Kamala Harris, I'd never ever thought about her being black and still don't tbph. I suppose if it helps you win votes, then you are going to play it. Not that I'm suggesting that is what Abbott is doing, I never heard her comments, so can't say.

Seems to me from where I'm sitting that Starmer is trying to take the left out of Labour and has been doing so since he entered office.

She wrote, presumably read it back and thought it was grand to send in that Jews and Travellers face prejudice akin to that faced by redheads, apologised pretty soon after and was condemned by Jewish and Travellers leaders.

And it’s good she apologised then for being so utterly ****ing thick. It’s not good she’s chosen to double down on it in the last few days hence the action taken.
you are deliberately twisting what she wrote which was clumsy enough the first time without your spin on it .

I’m really not. She’s got the boot for doubling down on it and it’s right she was given the opportunity to come back but she’s got form and can now see out her days on the opposition benches where she’s clearly more comfortable. Quite why she chose to run for election as a Labour candidate only to pretend to be an independent only she knows.

i've read it and again she does not equate the prejudice Jews and Travellers face with red heads .
Mind you i'm always fascinated that disablism is never mentioned when discussing this sort of stuff even by the equalities and human right commision .

It was at best very odd. She went out of her way to write to a newspaper diminishing the racism faced by Jews and Travellers.

More importantly though she doesn’t want to be in a Labour government in a position to actually help her constituency rife with poverty. She wants to perpetually whinge from the outside as does Burgon and various others.
To double down on her comments was either stupid or intentional.

Yeah that's him. Autistic animal lover, champion of wildlife, Naturewatch/Springwatch presenter and advocate for protecting Wildlife and biodiversity

He gets some of the snowflakes raging

But the man is a hero, next David Attenborough.
Yeah, I like the guy.

Some horrible bastards were killing animals, dissecting them and lobbing them in his garden.

****ers.

Not old enough to drink alcohol, play the lottery or have a bet, but old enough to understand politics in the UK lol

If anything it should have been moved up to 21.
There are thousands of over 21 year olds who have absolutely no clue when it comes to politics. The ones who voted Boris in because "he's funny and I like his hair".

When I come to power you'll have to take an IQ test before you're allowed to vote.

But you won't need to take the IQ test to get me voted in in the first place <laugh>

It's not well done Sir Kier though is it? Just a ****ing obvious change that was needed. The guy is still a ****ing dick.

<laugh>

I think he's alright, I just get the feeling sometimes he's trying do what Labour are not, hence why he is getting these rebellions. It's just like voting Tory really without the hand in the till - The latter being better than the previous.

He really needs to stick by his decisions though instead of keep backing down, or think more consciously before making these decisions, for example he should never have backed down on the winter fuel payments or just not made that decision in the first place, it makes him look weak.

Sadly it's the age old problem of having millionaires running the country, they aint got a ****ing clue. I'd still rather have Starmer than anyone else at the moment. The country really needs a new party...I mean brand new party, not any of the existing parties.

I absolutely detest the Tories at the moment and that's all because of the Badenoch affect.

I didn't really know her at first so just listened, but the more she opens her mouth the more I just want to switch her off, honestly I really don't want to listen to anything she has to say now - they've got to get her out and even then I can't see how they can repair this ****, well their **** really.

I think the VAT increase by Reeves, and I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it was a big mistake, so many jobs lost as a consequence, whether it be supermarkets, hospitality or another, hospitality just can't take anymore of this ****, and it's destroying our social structure, it's just stay at home now, it's cheaper, easier and lazier and that's not good for people's well-being.

We really don't see the harm we are doing ourselves. We really are turning into a third world country. Before covid I wanted to get up and leave, but my doctors advise sort of put a spanner in that works - but once I retire in a couple of years, I'll look at the options again, even if it's doing it in short stints.

Soz, gone off on one a bit, but they all need their heads banging together, we seem to care more about war and blowing our finances up, than anything else these days and again I blame all politicians for that and not just UK ones.

Anyway, ending on a positive note, he is trying to make friends in Europe and that is good by me, and if he really wants to cheer me up can he give Macron a smack in the mouth, that would make my day, cocky little ****er.
