We could have been too, that's what's killing me about today.

Had we won this as we deserved to, we would have been title contenders, it's breaking my heart tonight.

I know you don't care and are on the wind up SITW, but we really could have been, for the first time in the Prem era, but we're not and that's another season lost without us challenging for the title. I've got about twenty years left to live at best, and I'm sad to say I'll never see us win the title again.

But my hurt won't HP. I don't care about the WUM, I expected him to be West Ham, apparently he supports Kidderminster Harriers. I don't even know what division they're in, but they are just a smudged footnote in the history of English football.

We however are a great and glorious club, who have been flying the banner for attacking, skilful football under Harry, but alas we won't be winning the title this year, and probably never again in my lifetime. That's what hurts, that the forces of darkness can overcome the beautiful game in such a diabolical fashion.

After 14 games of which they played well in 10. Good form no doubt but such comments are left until 10 games to go

Wrong, we played well in all 12 of our games since the window closed and we got in Parker and Adebayor. We've been the best team to watch, playing delightful, attacking football.

However, we are not set up to deal with aerial onslaughts and so are not title contenders, and I, for one, have never said we were.

Had we beaten Stoke we would have been, but we didn't and so we aren't.

Aren't you reading a bit much into one match. I never thought we would win the league, but Sunday's result (especially as we were cruelly robbed) doesn't affect my view very much. Utd and City will lose the odd game through the season. I think we are where we were on Saturday, slight favourites for 3rd.

No I'm not HD, IMHO anyway :)

This was the acid test yesterday, IF we had won we would have been contenders, but we lost and so we aren't.

Because of our slow start, and the juggernaut that is City, catching them always required a superhuman effort. We were putting that in, but couldn't sustain it. Furthermore, we have defensive weaknesses that have been exposed repeatedly and will be exposed again I fear. City will I'm sure put out a bigger, stronger team against Stoke than we did, plus they have a superior keeper. I can almost guarantee they won't fold in the way we did first half.

Our defence without King is only average or a little better in Prem terms. King just won't make every game from hereon in, and that will cost us. We also will be stuffed if we lose Ade as well for any more than an 'easyish game' or two.

Yesterday our possible title dreams failed to materialise. The best team to watch in the country snuffed out by anti-football and appalling officials. It was a dreadful, dreadful day for me and doubtless many other Spurs fans. It was also an awful day for the beautiful game, and football played in the right way.

Another way at looking at it, is if Chelsea and Arsenal still consider themselves in the title race, then so are we.

Yes I agree yesterday was a must win, but at the same time we're still in a decent position. We're only 7 points from City and while I don't think we're good enough to win the league, I definitely feel we'll give City and Utd a run for their money this season. From what I've seen, Utd don't seem as dominant as they were last year and I think the loss of Vidic is a major blow for them. I've said for a while now, I really do expect us to finish 3rd ATLEAST this season, 4th will be a dissapointment. I don't think I'm being delusional either, look at our squad and the way we play and you just can't help but see what should be a very good year (league wise) for us, plus, I'm sick of seeing Chelsea and Arsenal finish above us! We now (FINALLY!!!!!!! :D) have a squad that is as good, if not better than both and I think we need to prove it.
