Apparently the Lib Dems have tabled a motion for at least 10 free to air Premier league games, along with a certain number of cup games, FA cup final, League Cup final and some Championship playoff finals.
How will they get round that, because the games will all be under contract to tv providers, who will have paid large sums of money for the rights?
I don't know, I haven't really looked into the motion. But I would imagine that Parliament has some power to mandate broadcasters to offer some free content in the public interest.
We face them on 13th August in the Super Cup. Well I say face them, what I actually mean is be murdered by them.
Probably just the Lib Dem MPs then. If Sky were trying to charge to watch some Royal family ****e, MPs would be up in arms
