I think with the Petrovic transfer it might go on longer than we (fans) would like seems like transfers between prem clubs take longer to complete look at transfers/possible transfers of elanga Trafford mbuemo and Nørgaard to name a few

Would be nice to get another concrete keeper link, as good as this fella is we should be ready to move in a new direction if we're being extorted. Might also help to drive down the price.

If the stories of Mikautadze being 40m euros and Abline being 30m euros are correct, I think we may well go shopping elsewhere entirely.

Not saying we won't spend 30m euros as we already have, but it needs to be on a nailed on cast iron cert to improve us, and I'm not convinced Abline is. Mika is. But I don't think we'll spend 40m euros on him

If discussions have been going on for as long as people/reports seem to suggest, surely we would have been aware of this far earlier and backed off?

Think we could do with 7 more in, not including Reinildo and Talbi.

Striker - I like both Mika and Abline
Right wing - would go with a right winger personally so that Roberts isn't the only out and out right winger at the club
Defensive midfielder - would like a taller body here, not Henderson
Right back - Huggins can then operate as backup for both sides, need to see how he's recovered first anyway
Centre back x2 - at least one of them being left footed
    GK - hopefully Petrovic

Just Lyon chancing there arm from their position of desperation?

Is it right that their deadline for fundraising (100m euros as a first tranche) is 10th July?

Just for housekeeping for those that don't look, its worth pointing that article doesn't reference Sunderland at all - its just Andy when tweeting it has mentioned us.

I'm in the awkward moral quandry position of wanting an update on Petrovic and Mikautadze but at the same time hoping that Brad and Jimmy don't post any more news on them publicly. I need journalist updates but the club won't want them.

    So we wait :D

Just checked they must deposit an extra 100m Euros into the accounts by 10th July to be able to appeal their relegation. Also need to guarantee another 100m by the end of the season but doesn't look to have a time limit on it.

Critical positions to strengthen for me (not including the two it seems are done, like you said)

GK, CB, RB and striker . These are must haves imo

Apart from that, a RW would be very nice to have. Though we have talbi who can play there.

If we can do that then I'll happy. Our existing players can step up more than most people seem to think imo

With it that imminent and the lack of movement (on Perri, Fofana, Mikautadze etc) and seeming lack of urgency I wonder if they're resigned to just taking the relegation and other sanctions on the chin.

Maybe, but they're probably trying to wring the best deals they can get in the final knockings.
