I’ve just woke up to this, why are people so hesitant about him. Played at a high level and sees quite good to me?
Abline makes a lot of sense to me. I still think Mika is a step too far even given our recruitment this summer.
We have quite a good start to the season fixture wise, relatively speaking. We can get off to a fast start and we can’t be messing around waiting until deadline day to strengthen the squad.
People saying they want more British players, it may be that we were more keen to get our foreign targets in early, and it's those we've paid a premium for, as it's assumed that they'll take more time to settle in and integrate. The British lads or those that have already played over here can perhaps wait until a bit later in the clubs eyes, it's those deals we may be able to take a bit more time over and therefore be able to strike better deals on.
Im not so bothered about prem experience. It would be great if we can get it. The profile of player is more important to me. But if two players are equally good and one of them has prem experience, I’d go for them
I've mentioned a few times about having a British core so no arguments from me when it comes to signing uk experienced based players At the minute I'm only really worried about CM for the AFCON as 2 of them will be away. Talbi hasn't had a senior cap, obviously if hes starting weekly for us and playing well then he will get a call up youd think
We're buying a young, quick, direct winger who has scored goals in the Champions League! We're paying for a player that we think is a game changer, a match winner. Of course it's a gamble, but these are the types that keep you in the league if they pay off.
I’m honestly not as bothered about this whole English thing like some are. Would be nice to sign a few but it’s not as vital as people think imo also with experience, games played is experience for me not age.
I never in a million years thought it would come off but this should finally put to bed the Bakayoko talk
