Modric did dive, and it wasnt a pen as there was NO contact, but he could have stayed on his feet he didnt

The Modric dive karma was evened out with Shawcrosses goaline clearance

I bow to your superior experience of watching dives, Piskie.

<laugh> I'll have to watch it again to see if it compares ....

To be fair, whilst you were clearly robbed of a pen with the elbow, it was a split second moment - technically the ref cannot give it unless he's absolutely sure. <ok>

Worst sequence of decisions in 5 seconds ever?

Defoe pulled over in the box, handball on the line, then a perfectly good goal chalked off for offside.
Only wrong by about 2 yards, too.

Yes we weren't good in the first half but we were superb in the second.

To say we played badly and didn't deserve anything is a joke.

I think we had enough chances to win the game, but that on the balance of play a point would've been fair.

I'm just annoyed that some of our key players were poor - VdV was anonymous, Defoe comes on (albeit not for VdV) and he's anonymous as well.

This was always going to be a banana skin match - unfortunately we slipped. The real test now is against a team in a 'honeymoon' period, off the back of a good win, next weekend and that's Sunderland.

We didn't play at our best by any means, but we slipped on a Foy, rather than a banana skin, Moorpheus! <laugh>
I'm finding it hard to get pissed off about it, because he was just so very, very bad.

You guys should of got some more decisions, but your players did not play well at all.

Funny that because you clearly state here we did not play well....

That stupid you forget what you write....

Pigeons are similar - 5 second memory.

What a thick piece of ****.

Just watched the Modric dive again
http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/emmanuel-adebayor-v-stoke/

Whilst the defender does make a challenge, he stops short of catching Modric. It's very fast, but if you watch carefully, he pulls out of the challenge right before the moment that he would have made contact.

Modric then realises that because he's not actually touched him, he needs to go down, hence the delay in him tumbling over.

Not a Pen for me.

Isn't it strange that there has been no gooners on our board in months....

They have been dreaming of this moment for a long time.

Quite sad really....

Wait for the papers tomorrow, and the radio stations - as they dissect our 'miserable' performance and how we'll probably be relegated and 'lol it's only Spurs, title challengers haha - don't make me laugh'

The Modric one was a pen he caught his foot so pen.He went down easy knowing he would get a penalty. The ref was only right behind them.
The only correct descision made all day.Stoke deserved to be winning after a very sloopy 1st half from Spurs, but that must go down as one of the worst refs performances in a very long time.

I thought he kicked Modric in the shin - but even if he missed it should still be a penalty - read the rules - a 'careless' tackle is a foul and it was certainly that even if he didn't manage to kick him when he tried. But there were three more blatant penalties, one other possible one, a wrongly disallowed goal, two goalkicks given for corners and a ludicrous second yellow card for a small foul on a player who was offside. I think he got a few decisons wrong in our favour too. Dire officiating.
