I believe we were informed of the provisional embargo on Monday afternoon, and we submitted documentation and appealed then, but they applied the sanction effective from today anyway. So your timeline needs to start on Monday.

 

A transfer fee restriction this window still ****s us. The new coach will have his hands tied even more than Walter’s was last summer.

 

Can only hope the club jump through the EFL hoops and get it lifted.

Interesting that Smailes' suggest even in the best case we have an embargo this window but are keen to get the fee punishment lifted. If so I imagine we'll try and get players out the door and then 'staff up' via loans with obligations (always end well), that aligns with the Frigan reports last night. It's the double punishment that will hold us back this year. If you remove the embargo but keep the fee punishment at least we could sign free agents.

We need a smaller squad anyway but would need players out sharpish.

 

That's what I'm saying. Notice on Monday. Two day window. Wednesday (latest Thursday) we should be up on the EFL listing. But we're not. The temporary embargo looks to be separate to the two business day window (48 hours as per Smailes). I think the club think they can get this all sorted before we get properly listed on Monday/Tuesday. Today being the first business day and Monday the second.

 

EFL need to get ads on their embargo page. Would make a killing today.

 

Adam Pearson, the time the club were really in the doohday, stated, "Administration was not an option. There was nothing to administer". That applies now.

 

If the lawyers are any good, they should be arguing for a points deduction in lieu of any fee restriction windows and use Sheffield United’s case last year as precedent.

 

Even if it actually was a storm in a teacup he’d already been tried and found a total fraud.

Think you're probably putting too much stock in when their website is updated. The club have confirmed it anyway.

That's not to say there isn't scope for it to be reduced or removed if we can prove financial stability. But I assume there'd need to be some sort of EFL oversight for that to happen.
