Again, I don’t read the detailThis reads like a gossip column similar to Copley's from yesterday. I'm not seeing it as a new source, more stating rumours
Those are all exceptions though and Neves goes back to 2017. Read my post again, I'm hardly saying it's impossible, just highly unlikely. There are probably hundreds of transfer to the premier league every summer, how many would meet the threshold of playing at a big european club and moving to a newly promoted one, let's say in the last 10 years? You could probably count them on one hand, two if we're being kind.
I actually quite like a lot of the Nantes squad tbh, each to their own but I think definitely in terms of goal contributions I would have no doubt mikautadze scores and assists more in the Nantes side than Abline did. His shot selection is just brilliant and he knows when to hit it first time and when to take that extra touch whereas Abline has other strengths but doesn't have close to the composure of mikautadze around goal.Sounds crazy but I think that Metz team beats last seasons Nantes side, I love football but they made me question that![]()
What was Mika’s stats like at abline’s age? Got 3/4 years on him hasn’t he?Honestly both Abline and Mika are good. Happy with either. Mikautadze is further along in his development by a bit but Abline is a good player and you don't get into even the French U21s without being very good. It is worth noting that he scored 9 goals (and 2 assists) in ligue 1 last season to Mikautadze's 11 (and 6 assists) but Lyon scored 65 goals while Nantes only scored 39. I do think mikautadze is the better finisher though.
Can also add to that Abline played twice as much, almost exactly.Honestly both Abline and Mika are good. Happy with either. Mikautadze is by far the best option but he’s already too high of a reach if we are being honest. He’s gonna have European football offers left and right.Abline 22
Mikautadze 24
At 22 mikautadze scores 23 and set up 8 in Ligue 2
with Petrovic we were the only team to offer what exactly chelsea wanted,
a straight deal with a sell on clause and a buy back clause
Gala wanted a loan, with an option to a full time deal
villa - depending of if they can shift current keeper out
Bournemouth was only willing to go to 18m with a lower % clause
Look at us, using our spending power. Didn't think I would be writing that 12 months ago.with Petrovic we were the only team to offer what exactly chelsea wanted,

What's the source of this? Not sure I buy this administration agreeing to a sell on and a buy back. Sounds like a poor deal in the long term.
Gerrin (hopefully), a good goalkeeper is absolutely critical for us
