Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Just watching the Stoke/Spurs live commentary on BBC and it came to my mind whether is any similarity between Barmby's style of play for Tigers and Harry's Spurs? given also NB's time at Spurs and associations with Harry.

Being a purely armchair viewer ( by commentaries on internet - it's too slow for streaming!) and rarely even getting to see Prem games on TV, this is of course purely speculation.

Any thoughts?

I arent sure NB has any associations with Harry. NB left there a long time ago. What are you doing in Addis Ababa sounds interesting place to be.

Thought I'd picked up somewhere that there was some connection through England at some point but I'd not claim any reliability. A lack of connection with the outside world could in some ways be regarded as interesting!

How safe is it for you? Always thought it was a pretty dangerous place to be.

Not at all dangerous. The civil war ended 20 yrs ago. The brief war with Eritrea never affected Addis - unless one happened to be of Eritrean extract. There are sporadic, localised politico-tribal skirmishes with gov't troops from time to time, and some localised terrorist activity - from gov't perspective but it is largely minor and never affects Addis. One of the safest cities in the world to live!

Say hello to starvin Marvin for me :-)
I know it's not very PC to say something about famine like that but when I think about Ethiopia I always think of that South Park episode when Cartman ends up there, sorry if it offends anybody

**** me, "sorry if it offends" if you think it will why post it with an apology?

I don't think Nick has done anything more than, given an attackers mindset into the tactics. if that matches the way any other team plays, it's just coincidence.

i can see alot of terry venables tactics in the way NB has got city playing and the formation. not a bad thing at all.
but NB has a football brain of his own and its plain for all to see. long may NB contine in the role.
