Awful news about Jota and his brother Death is always ****e but when it’s unexpected and to people with their whole life ahead of them it’s even worse
Can't get on board with the women's game... I just don't find it interesting. They can knock it about a bit and play some good stuff at times, but the thing that always turned me off it more than anything was the quality / athleticism of the goalkeepers. It was farcical. Have the goalies got any better? It's some time since I watched any of it.
I think it's ok if you get a couple of good nations, but that's about the limit of what you will find, well maybe 3 or 4. I've watched 2 games so far, both the 8pm, I'm refusing point blank like a stubborn mule to watch at teatime. The first game I watched was the host nation, albeit that was the second game of the competition and breaking with tradition for some reason, they did say why but I've forgotten already. It ended Switzerland 1-2 Norway. I think the Scandinavian's were favourites going into the game, but they didn't deserve to win, I'd say it would have been fairer if the Swiss had got a draw. Don't have the power of the men, but it was as physical as women could give, so it made it a tad interesting. The second game was more the example that you have given, and although Spain thrashed Portugal 5-0, I had it on but wasn't really watching. It was about as interesting as watching England men play Gibraltar. I know **** all about women's football, so I'm really dipping into a few games to get a feel of those that might be worth watching in the later stages. England Saturday 8pm, so will defo watch that, but we've got France, and I get a sense of feeling they are as good as us, so should make it interesting.
The 8pm one tonight btw is Germany v Poland it's ITV1 turn to screen the games today. Again got no idea on these two teams, might go look up some bookie odds, not that I know what I'm doing, it might give me an idea if one of them is dogshit.
If I'm reading the odds right, Poland 40/1 so they must be absolute dogshit, so it should be over early. Germany 1/20 lol I'll await the gamblers on here to confirm.
