It just died! I lost the initial site after I split with my ex. The hosting package was in my name but I didn't realise the domain name was still registered to him. The domain name expired and he refused to sign it over to me, so I lost the whole site. I did start it up again on a new domain name, but it never really got going. There were a couple of incidents which caused people to leave and it got to a point where I was begrudging paying for it just spend my time deleting crap and sorting squabbles out. I passed it onto a man who ran it for a bit, but he never did any maintenance on the server. Eventually it just ground to a halt and died due to the lack of work on it.
Chops still telling of his tale of woe Blokes one of the biggest hypocrites on there People just have to disagree with him Boom reported
He even bragged he liked starting arguments, didn't seem to like discussing it or accepting the consequences
I got a 10 week ban for having a go at that Leeds fan that is constantly on the wind up. Well, I assume it was for that because they don't actually tell you what your ban is for but it's the only thing I can recall saying that was not my usual posting style.
Welcome to the board marra, your posts will be refreshing no doubt. We do have a harmless Leeds fan who posts on here
Funnily enough I moved over here after about 10 years posting when I ran into Hong Kong and was barred several times. There was quite an exodus of posters over here in Sep/Oct 2019
He said people are now talking behind his back on other socials, of course they are, he got them banned from the SMB.
There can be a clash of personalities on there at times. I don't really miss it but what I find frustration it you can see images or twitter links without being logged in so I have no idea what people are talking about. My ban isn't up until after the transfer window, I enjoy the chat and excitement about the potential transfers.
I followed Smug here when he had a lot of info about the Dell boys. I flitted between here and over there for a bit, but eventually settled here. Like many I got fed up with the cliques that had formed on the SMB. A shame as a lot have said that it used to be such a good forum. I’d been on there since 2002, initially as smally then since 2010(ish) as my current username so it was hard to give up. To be honest I’m pleased I made the move here. There is still some sniping here and I know of at least one forum member that doesn’t like me due to a post I started and which ended up In PMs going back and forth, but overall it’s a good place to discuss all things Sunderland and other stuff.
I tend not to take things too seriously on these forums. I read a lot of the posts but rarely get in involved. My health in is better for it. I feel a bit sorry for Hank as RTG seems to be his life.Difficult I know but I reckon he should pursue some other interests
His first post challenging Admin has been deleted. He's asked for Admin only to DM him. Sad state of affairs
I've just read the last few pages of the original depression thread over at RTG/SMB. I agree with Her Ivory Tower, and I agree she's spoken up and warned others. Begging for money to borrow off kind hearted strangers with no intentions of paying them back is a disgrace. Alcoholic or not, I get sick of seeing news articles about defendants given extenuating circumstances as they were on drugs or drank when they were on medication. No, no, no, they put it into themselves. Be flaming responsible for your actions. What the hall has this world become? Entitled with no sense of responsibility. Rant over.
