Just in case people missed it. Interesting from Rickie, and some lovely memories. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton
Imagine the reception he’d get if the club wheel him out as a special guest on a match day. Also agree with him when he says Lallana will be a good coach. Future manager for me.
That would never happen - imagine how it would look if he kissed the badge and then left 2 weeks later
Not sure if it's an issue with the video but it sounds like Will Still can barely string a sentence together. And does he start by saying "who are you, Japanese left footed player?"
No, he says Kuryu while talking to Matsuki From what I can hear from a couple of listens, he is saying 'Start of the first session for Kuryu, Japanese left footed player who joins us, and Josh [Quarshie] from Germany... so we welcome you with a round of applause' The general issue with hearing him is because he is not mic'd up so they are just picking him up in fits and starts on the camera's in-built mic, while filming from a distance, which always leads to a bad outcome (sorry, weathered and frustrated ex club media employee here...! )
That makes more sense. I assumed it was sound issues rather than him talking but even after a fair few listens all I could hear was him pointing at a player and asking "who are you?" I thought, surely he can't be that rude - thankfully your explanation is much more plausible
I thought this when listening to MNF. Was hoping it was nerves about doing a live show like that but maybe not. As long as the players understand what he wants (and what he wants isn’t ****ing stupid like Martin) then who cares. I’m sure the fans will have the piss taken out of them by mates over the course of the season if they hear his interviews, but surely we are used to having other fans laugh at us by now
Business that operates at a global level, which has worked out of Southampton since the 1970s and still has its headquarters here. And no gambling, crypto or other nonsense involved. As SF4L says, that's about as good as it gets from that perspective
