    It will never be completed. It is a Bin Salman vanity project. Already £300bn behind budget on estimates apparently. It will get way more than that. And, whatever is said, they do not have half a trillion quid to throw away. And who wants to live in a linear, desert hellhole anyway?

    Just a thought - its about time the Athletic got a Sunderland correspondant. Newcastle have two. All other premier league clubs, including the relegated ones, have at least one.

    We are probably the most exciting club in the country to cover at the moment and the Athletic just, aren't.

    Some reports say costs are over £10 trillion! The half trillion gap is only " up to now".

    Seriously, it won't get built. They'll do a bit of it. Link it somehow, but it is a stupid , fanciful and extraordinarily arrogant notion.

    It’s going under the radar abit but Reinildo looks like an absolute standup guy, all the discourse from atletico and their fans is that he is all heart and commitment to the club. Will be great experience & dressing room presence
