It'll be fun seeing how Kneecap are received and whether the BBC feature them.

Neil Young should be good even though he's slightly crackers and Wolf Alice is always class.

Olivia Rodrigo will put on a big show but she's not my kind of thing.

Rod Stewart is already getting on my nerves, remains to be seen if he just does his 'stage show' which is too 'Las Vegas' for my liking.

Pulp could sneak on though, always good to see them.
Bloody love wolf Alice, im more than slightly obsessed with Bloom Baby Bloom

I’ll go against the grain, Neil Young is and has tonight been fantastic.
A proper headliner - no gimmicks/frills (no fancy lighting, dancers, back screens etc), just spot on musicianship and a great back catalogue.

Been a load I’ve enjoyed today. Hadn’t really seen anything of The Ezra Collective but they were really impressive and enjoyable and the Nova Twins were entertaining for something a bit different.

I agree, not often on my playlist but totally unique and some unworldly tunes.

He must've been unsignable when he started ...

... weird voice, weird songs, hard to look at, unpleasant nature and no dress sense.

But strangely compelling.

So far my picks have been

  1. franz Ferdinand (seen em loads so I’m biased)
  2. Wet leg (the sheer energy of that lead singer !)
  3. John Fogerty (love CCR TO BITS)
  4. Amyl and the sniffers
  5. (Don’t hate me for this) Jade
  6. Pulp
  7. Busta Rhymez
  8. 1975 - I wanted to hate them I really did
I need to watch some of the others still but feel free to recommend

I really enjoyed Amy L and The Sniffers for some daft, class fun.

It all feels a bit odd to me. Was Glastonbury ever meant to be mostly about acts that were popular 20 or many more year ago?

Today looks like a canny decent day of bands. For me, not been much over the weekend to enjoy it get excited about.

What they have really knacked up this year is the scheduling of the artists. Fields getting closed for access as it's too full because there is no competition to split the crowds.

Neil Young didn't even fill half the pyramid stage, that's unheard of on a Saturday night.

They definitely could have taken a few that are due to play today and spread across the Friday and Saturday.

Some canny big clashes today but that will divide the crowds as it's mean to do.
