Although having said that, just looked up Rodney Marsh and he seemed to have done ok out there. I think he's still out there, thought he was dead tbph, but well and truly alive at the grand old age of 80.
He’ll occasionally pop up with some sort of deeply un-woke opinion but he looks and sounds good for his age. You’ll remember the 1967 League Cup final I’m sure. Still a few of them with us.
Carabao Cup draw at 4:30 is the one that excites me only to get Norwich at home and lose with the reserves out.
Barnet have to qualify for the first round because of some nonsense to do with 37 Prem teams qualifying for Europe this season.
We can’t expect Nottingham Forest reserves to slum it in the second round because they might be tired playing a team of factory workers in Azerbaijan
Yeah I think there was a year the relegated teams did. Maybe the year the league was a team short because of Bury.
There’s never going to be a perfect solution with a 92 team competition. The real solution to beat the wokes is to make it a 128 team knockout by including highest ranked 36 teams from outside the 92. Straight knockout from round one- Truro v Liverpool.
I just think the game is being destroyed for greed. I think if they really want this club world cup, then they need to knock the CL on the head the seasons it's played or reduce the format of the CL and not compensate the teams by degrading other domestic competitions. I'm not particularly a fan of extra time, so something could be done with that for starters, I generally think if you can't divide a team over 90 mins, what's the point of another 30. It's also inconvenient for fans that have to get home with public transport schedules and work the next day. Just go straight to penalities or bring back replays, and if still a draw, penalties. There's lots of things they could do, but always seem to want to impact lower league teams. It's like the JPT or whatever it's called these days, we've still got their U21's in that, they could be using these teams in the League Cup early rounds instead. These ****s are going to be moaning come the new season they are knackered.
MLS has been going for about 20 years and getting more popular year on year . Average attendance is about 25000 apparently though i doubt many games have more than a handful of away fans due to distance between clubs. Mind you if Trump chucks out all Hispanics quite a chunk of US "soccer" fans will be gone
We’ve got them away on Boxing Day which is a result for me if the trains are running. Got you midweek too which is doable after work.
All our London aways are in November weirdly. Our boxing day is Oxford away which will be decent. Surprised the skates is just our third home game. Annoying the away is in January as means my last season's aways won't count so I'll have to hammer it up until Christmas and we've got some dreadful aways in that time.
Swans are away at Charlton November 1st, that's in the diary. Our North West games (I can stay at my Mum's!) are both mid week, so that's ****ed. QPR away is a Tuesday in April ffs. Quite fancy Birmingham away, or Bristol, The Bristol game will 100% get changed to the Sunday at mid day, always does.
