I’m a teacher and our school takes on quite a lot of City academy players, of which Jamie was one. It blows my mind that a lad that that was sitting his GCSEs here a few years back is now going for 50m. What a mental game. Naturally, I’m in the ear of any of those who end up in my class about why Sunderland is the right next step for their career. Playing the long game.
Should I just get a top with Lauriente 7 on the back and roker report badge on the arm now or should I wait?
Having Cirkin/Bischoff fight it out at left back and Mundle/Laurienté fight it out at left wing (with the added bonus of Bischoff being able to cover LW as well if needed) sounds reeeal tasty to me.
Pinched from OTR about Lauriente Yeah his Serie A (aged 23-25) stats are: 0.21 goals/90 0.18 assists/90 0.39 G+A/90 Serie B (aged 25-26) 0.68 goals/90 0.19 assists/90 0.87 G+A/90 Ligue 1 (aged 19-23) 0.21 goals/90 0.14 assists/90 0.35 G+A/90
Still makes me smile when I think about the absolute confidence they had in taken Chris Rigg from us! Not only are they at best on par with us in terms of pull, they were in thr league 1 below ffs! add in the fact the lad is local (albeit with mag family, he isn't a mag again imo) and the club having a clear pathway to the first team and the fact he knocked back Man Utd a few months before to sign his first pro contract here and their level of confidence was ****ing delusional!
