Shame he didn't quite make it. Good knock though.

Carse gone now. Him and Woakes were going along nicely.
You see people saying “brainless” for Brook and arse trying to score big, “should’ve left it” or “play a defensive shot” etc. well if they did that instead of hitting boundaries, we probably wouldn’t have avoided the follow on! Stokes went against that natural aggressive nature and still got out on a low score

Busy all weekend so just catching up

In the balance, good test match on by the looks
Two good sides, nip and tuck between them. Can't understand why anyone wouldn't enjoy this.Great advert for the best form of the game imo. Both have talented batting line-ups....runs galore......India are a touch ahead imo, because they have Bumrah, but not sure if he'll play all the matches.
Going to be a really enjoyable series.

Agree with all of that mate

Long live test cricket.

Can't work out how Bumrah bowls so fast off a stop start short run up.

Never played cricket in my life so only know it through watching TV but their seems to be a very finre line to bowling and throwing imo. And this blokes release of the ball looks suspisiously like the latter..

There is a detailed explanation of how he does it by Steven Finn on the bbc cricket page, well worth a read.

Its his delivery point that makes him different to other bowlers - He delivers the ball from 20 or 21 yards instead of 22 due to the position of his arm at point of delivery - its much further forward than more "orthodox" bowlers - it hurries batters into making shots. More than that he is just a ****ing good bowler as well - think his action will cause him injury problems later in his career though.
