Aye it is but I'm used to watching crash bang wallop these last few years. Credit to SA tho as up till late in the day I still thought they would lose. Surely they won't collapse from here.
A proper Test series against an Indian team going through a bit of a rebuild will be fascinating. What English summers were made for! These players going for an Ashes tour in a few months time just adds to the excitement.
Yeah, lots going on for this series. Interested to see how Tongue gets on with the ball and really hope Pope can find some form with the bat.
Pope and Crawley really need to cement their places with some consistent run scoring....they seem to me to be the slight question marks going forward,especially with Bethell waiting in the wings. For the bowling,I honestly haven't a clue. It's alway a matter of who's fit and can bowl 20 overs. I've lost count of the number of promising pace bowlers we've seen,but we can never get them fit enough for long enough to get them into the side consistently. When you look at the Aussies, it seems as though they can do it.....Cummins,Starc and Hazlewood are always there. I think our side from 1-7, is more or less there,given the caveats I've mentioned above,but the bowling 8-11 is far from settled....almost chaotic. Mind you,a lot depends on Stokes' fitness and how much he can bowl.
