Nodding donkeys are welcome down In BS3. I have a horrible sense that we will miss out on the better candidates based on our lousy attempts to become a destination of choice and our evident lack of backing from those that matter. We clearly don't come across as a club that hires a manager that will be allowed the freedom or support to take Bristol City to the next level and I truly think that LM saw the dream job open up and grabbed it with both hands. I often wonder what, or who, is the real reason behind our constant being stuck in the mire without either a çlue or a sensible plan to get to a more consistent place. If during these interviews we come across as bossy or confrontational I'm sure some will walk away and those that stick it out may not be suitable on any level. Honestly I don't see any excitement being generated during this unexpected process and I can't see any coming when the announcement is published. Same old lack of anything.

why? every time I travel on Le Shuttle I go through UK and French Border control in Folkestone and on my return French and UK Border Control in Calais. Also both UK and French police ride the Eurostar.

But that’s because of an existing procedure
I just think this is ceding responsibility to appease the Spanish authorities

in FRANCE there is an area of the ports designated as part of the UK in the UK there is part of France as designated area. I was doing around 2 trips average weekly from about 2002 till 2018 at Folkstone through out going customs it was annoying as often they would [ French ] would just sit behind a closed window and you would stop they didnt make a move you just counted to 20 and drove on!!!! the other way similar French let you through but every TIME UK would stop you!
In freight lines at Calais / Dunkirk FREIGHT LINES WERE INSPECTED BY UK BORDER FORCE....... never saw inspections on the SHUTTLE FREIGHT LINES !!!
 
an interesting factoid! when media outlets give the "shortlist"version who may be applying for the managers job! they name 2 /3/4 & add a "extra one that is is not yet clear who it is ............

" xxxxxxx leads a shortlist of four" which also includes xxxxxxx /xxxxxx/ and an unnamed candidate " ............
 
Makes you wonder why there is a bit of a hold up? as some teams seem to get a reasonable manager off the list of betting candidates for say City ............. but 2 or 3 remain unattached, as yet viz Rob Edwards are they waiting to see if Sheff U or another big team might require one!

We can agree to have a different view on that but it is a very good move for the Gib residents who will be able to move freely between Gib and Spain as many do. Also for the Spanish. I would tend to take @bcfcredandwhite view on it. he has the first hand experience

A bit surprised as it's one area we're strong and have numbers (unless Knight already gone).The Plymouth fans are also saying the deals is done.
1 goal in 39 games last season so not an inspiring signing but sadly typical for us.
