Marseille’s opening bid was worth €12m plus €3m in bonuses, followed by a second offer worth €15m paid in four instalments. However, Nantes, under the direction of the Kita family, deemed both offers insufficient. The club is aiming to complete a major transfer should Abline leave this summer and consider the proposed figures far off their internal valuation.

Looking like they might want near €20m for him

With Mepham back at Bournemouth and Jobe away to Dortmund, what’s our current best side? I’d say…

    Patterson
    Hume - Ballard - O’Nien - Cirkin
Rigg - Neil - Le Fee
    Roberts - Mayenda - Mundle

    - Shows how much work there is to do in the transfer window. I’d want upgrades for those in bold and wouldn’t twist if we were targeting better than Patterson and Cirkin either.

Rigg is a strange one, I just think of how much Jobe improved at the beginning of last season, it does happen

I love Rigg, believe he’ll go for more than Jobe one day but I don’t expect him to be starting week in, week out in the PL. 18th birthday next week

I was very confident Jobe would be massively improved after his first season with. I feel the same way about Rigg, with maybe even more growth. You can see the young lads who dont shirk when they arent playing how they would like. As they physically adapt to a league season, their mentality is already waiting for the body to catch up. I think we will see lads like Rigg demand a place in the team simply through training ground attitude. Try and get the shirt off him, will need to a serious signing to do that if he is good as I think he will be next season.

The thought of Rigg getting better excites me mind. Always believed he was our biggest asset long term, even with Jobe improving

need him to sign a 4-5 year deal this summer ideally. If he doesn't he'll only have a year left next summer which will compromise us.

…he can join Alese and Huggins then <whistle>

Nah that’s a decent point. Hasn’t played enough games for his age. We need to rely on players

Give it a week or so until he’s 18 and I think the club will be on it. Fully expect the lad to move onto mega money compared to his current contract

To me I see Rigg will be better slightly deeper like where Jobe was playing, but like Wharton at Palace but slightly more offensive

The tackle he made at Wembley shows me that he is not scared of anybody.

That Xl would be a shoe in for the lowest ever PL points tally. I think we’ll see at least 5 new first team players come in plus a couple others. Pretty much agree with who you’ve highlighted but I’d like better than Patterson too
