Whisper it quietly, but reading West London Sport on my lunch break, and...could our "model" be starting to work? Clubs looking to sign Varane & Kelman for real money. Apparently some interest in Kolli too. Plus it's looking like we'll finally get decent ££ from Eze's sell on this summer.

Dons seem annoyed to lose Akindileni who looks a great addition to the youth team. Break through season just gone for some younger players - Morgan, Kolli, Morrison (and almost Lloyd?).

Easy to feel optimistic when we're not playing I guess...

I must admit that although I'd be disappointed at losing Varane after one season, making a large profit on him (plus Dykes/Armstrong last year) does stary to support a solid business model.
Sunderland have been doing this for the last 7ish seasons, slowly progressing throughout.

Be great to get money for Varane, kelman etc and I understand the business model for a club of our size. My concern is that it would deplete the team and how we reinvest that money.

Assuming Eze is sold for £68m, that's £13.6m for us which is just one year's worth of the debt our owners take on in one year. I wonder how much will be used, if any, to fund new players?

Who do you think is gonna bid for Eze ? He's happy at Palace, and they are in Europe next season. He likes the manager and is playing in a position he feels he's best in. He'd only possibly be tempted by a Champions League side and apart from Bayern, I can't see anyone else bidding for him.

Agree & getting sick of all this Eze money talk & relying on that, if it happens good if not we will have to get on with it & make do like we always do

Very little, we've been consistently losing £20 million a year for years and we splashed out last year so it'll be £3-4 million at the most. We have to stay within £39 million losses over 3 years...
