At first yes, the Maguire supposedly fell out.

Maguire even stating Sunderland were playing better after Macgeedy left putting the knife in.

Exactly what I thought. The difference between the dressing room then, with all the rumours little cliques, compared to now is night and day.

I can't remember seeing a more connected squad of players than right now and O9 is one of the big reasons for that. I know he is always there if one of the younger players has something on their mind, he'll always make time for them and help if possible. Those are the characters we need when we are trying to bring through young inexperienced players.

The about of youngsters that praise O9 says it all, while he is a joker he's also very intelligent and is a massive reason why we are a PL club next season

My dad found it disgraceful, said the bloke wouldn't be allowed to clean the boots of the real king Charlie Hurley.

Think he was right in hindsight.

Spoke highly of Lee Johnson to which I found interesting

I remember the whole ‘city connections’ at the time but he did get Doyle in during his tenure which can’t be a conincidence.

additionally he was coaching city players last summer and was or is currently coach at Lommel, a city group club.

didn’t do much for me but was good to hear he just loved football 24/7 and was trying his best to succeed.

I've nowt against the lad, but its no shock that once we bombed the likes of him off from getting minutes we finally got out of the league.

Nowhere near the worst we’ve had here but the jump in quality from him to batth was astronomical

I think we’d be back in league one or at best strugglers in the championship had they remained the following season.

They’d have sold up but they’d have had options and sold to highest bidder; rather than best fit.

Could have been anywhere but we would not be as stable as today, I’ll hand my hat on that.

Was at the match last week. KLD invited all the managers he's had. Beale wasn't there, not sure about Neil
