Promotion odds. It’s a good bet if anyone thinks there won’t be a points deduction. Birmingham being so short is disgusting.

Can’t think. He must have been ****ing good to get in that team. Late 90’s was the Peter Reid era when we had Phillips and Quinn. Can’t remember any young lads breaking through about that time.
I had to call my brother to ask, his name was Mike, or Michael most likely his full name, surname was Proctor.
I googled him and he still works at Sunderland as a coach!

He’s our first team coach, now. They reckon he’s a big part of the success which is happening at the club. The players are always speaking highly of him.

Think Birmingham will be right up there. They’ve probably enough to finish top half with what they’ve got now and are ready to spend big again apparently.

I’m putting a couple of your lads up at my house when you come to the SOL, next season. Going to take them on the piss around Durham. They’re going to return the favour when we play down there.

Love the bond between our clubs now <ok>

True that Ayew is no Piroe or Bamford ... he's much better, particularly at Championship level... although I won't want him when we are back in the Prem...

We'll likely move the following on:

Daka
Faes
Vestergaard
Ndidi
Kristiansen
De Cordova-Reid
Winks
Coady
Soumare
Hermandsen
El Khanouss

... whilst the last 2 are excellent and I wouldn't mind keeping (especially El Khanouss) they are the most marketable and will bring in anything between £50 and £70m - combined with the others going we'll be bringing in North of £120m but also shedding some of the biggest salaries ...

... but the squad will be excellent in terms of the Championship ...

Mavididi and Fatawu certainly staying and McAteer, Will Alves and Jeremy Monga as other wide options ... and Jake Evans and Lorenz Hutchinson to be mentored by Ayew in the striking roles...

Sheffield United had the best defence in the Championship until Harry Souttar got injured ... we'll have him available next season along with Okoli and Couliballly signed from Atalanta and Parma respectively, plus FA Cup winners, Pereira, Thomas, Justin and Choudhry and a real talent in Ben Nelson who was on loan at Oxford last season ...

Skipp will be more than effective in midfield and, if we lose El Khanouss, I expect we'll bring in another playmaker ...

They'll be other strong squads for sure, but I'm more than happy with how ours will stand up <cheers>

Not sure how you can be so certain about Fatawu and Mavdidi staying. And I think it'll be harder to shift some of those others than you think.

The £70m for Hermandsen and El Khanouss will soften the blow though. Expect clubs will be queuing for the double swoop.

A club media interview? And what happens if a PL club comes in during the final week of the window?

Long contract doesn't necessarily mean they won't go. Just that you can command a bigger fee.

Agreed - but we don't need to sell either of them for PSR reasons - 4 of the top 5 wage earners will be going / gone ...

Suspect the 'health' of our squad next season will 'disappoint' many non-Leucester City fans ... can't wait.

I'm not saying your squad will be poor or anything just that it's basically impossible at this stage to tell so I'm not sure how you have so much certainty.

Thing is with relegation it can look all Summer like you might hold on to someone only for a club to come calling in the final week having missed out on other targets.

Shifting high earners isn't necessarily easy either. Winks for example must be on a fair bit and you'll need to find somebody willing to pay him the same to move him on.

Winks may well have his contract cancelled - he was left completely out of the picture after refusing the manager's not unreasonable request to stay overnight just one night a week at the training ground rather than a long drive to and from training each and every day ...

Surely paying the rest of his contract off would take a chunk out of your budget though. Would be shocked if you did that.

If he's in breach of contract, we won't be paying him much at all ... only thing I know for sure was that he wasn't in any matchday squad during the last 2 months of the season ... also that it's a requirement to attend home games in person, even when you are not playing ... which he didn't...

Ironic that the only thing being discussed on the PL General Matchday thread is the Championship... and, in particular, Leicester City FC ...

I'm available for other PR work too <laugh>
