Well done to this lad because it is a remarkable achievement. On a similar theme does anyone remember Action Group chairman, Dave Dewberry doing a sponsored walk to raise funds for Hull City?
He, and I think a couple of others walked around the perimeter of the Boothferry Park pitch non stop for 24 hours, ending just before the kick off of a home game. I forget which game it was. The club were famously on the edge of bankrupcy at the time and although the Action Group was at odds with the clubs ownership it was Dave's idea to offer an olive branch by doing this sponsored walk. He completed it too, telling me the club didn't even offer him a cup of tea or any encouragement at all, even showing him to a door when he completed the walk, which led him outside so that he had to pay to get back in to watch the game.
It's the little things that you remember.
Wonder where he is these days?

His brother thought that he moved up to Scotland. The family didn't spend too much effort looking for him. If he hadn't changed his lifestyle, I'd presume he's passed away now.

My Late father was high up in the Action Group/TSA with Dave.
I was at BP on the friday night and saturday Morning of the walk, it was not just Dave, there were a few others.
I know most of the committee members have passed away now, as well as a couple of the walkers.
Don't know anything about Dave.
still see a few of the lads from the coaches at city

In the BBC studio now correcting Naga we are Hull City not Hull FC, top lad, they've got a clip from Ivor Pandur, John Egan, Liam Millar for him, well done Marcus. UTT.
What an amazing kid. Came across really well and his face when the clips from the City players was played was great. Said he fancies running across America. You wouldn't bet against it.
