I put this on the old site, so I'll repeat it here:
Pinkun report a potential replacement for Long:
"Norwich City are closing in on the signing of Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw. The Canaries are hopeful of securing the 27-year-old's signature after the summer transfer window opened for an early registration period yesterday, although they're targeting two stoppers before the window shuts in September. A direct replacement for outgoing keeper Angus Gunn is yet to be sourced, with City reviewing their options ahead of what's expected to be a busy summer. Reports from
Sky Sports broke this morning that a £600k fee had been agreed with the Pilgrims for Grimshaw, with a medical potentially coming as early as this week if personal terms can be agreed in time. Grimshaw previously played for Belgian side Lommel when they were managed by Bristol City boss Liam Manning, who is expected to be confirmed as the new Norwich head coach in short order. Manning will work with sporting director Ben Knapper on transfers as they plot a Championship play-off push next season, although much of the talent identification work has already been completed by the recruitment team."
