It's a classic 'be careful what you wish for'. Most wanted Briatore gone, but he did get us to the PL as per his stated plan.
Well actually he didn't . And never would have. If you recall, after the fiasco of three managers within a year all being got rid of when they wouldn't do his bidding, him wanting to ban fans because they had the temerity to say he didn't know what he was doing and protesting outside LR,. His insistence on getting his managers to play Pellicori (because he had so much talent, obvious only to Flav. I could go on. Eventually Mittal grew a pair, took over and recruited Warnock who I'm sure only came once he knew that Flav had been muzzled. It was Warnock who got us up not Flav.

Sadly Mittal got outmanoeuvred in the Board Room so Flav and Bernie returned in time to prevent Warnock having any money to spend the next season. It was then Fernandes who bought into the dream and we vastly over-spent picking up the dregs in the last couple of days of the transfer window.

I am as certain as anyone can be that if Flav had still been there we would have gone down not up. Don't think that was ever in the 4 year plan. We got to the PL in spite of him not because of him

Paal gone, oh well the rebuild starts now… or when the management situation is sorted.

Blimey, this is SO depressing reading these comments. How much longer have we got a ball and chain around our ankle with this FFP [HASHTAG]#hit[/HASHTAG]? I won't ask the question about how many winners of the champions league have been done by FFP, but how many have been done? On my way to the bar for another cider £1.99 stowford press in Rayner's lane moons.

The 4 year plan was a hilarious watch. Briatore was crackers. Him and Bernie owned around %70 of the club if I remember correctly. Mittals the other 30. They were crazy days but he said he would get us up and he did just that. It was all business to him. Unfortunately, Fernandes ruined us from then on to this day and going forwards, or so it seems.

I think this ball and chain will be around us for much of the future, unless it changes. We are a small club, competing in a city with much bigger clubs. Promotion or even relegation would let us spend more money , IF someone was willing to of course

It's not a no. We can but hope. Maybe they're waiting to see what happens to Eze.
I hope we don’t spend any Eze bounty on Jimmy Dunne. Or any of the others we are ‘in discussion’ with. Wage cuts for the lot of them, see who else wants them.
