If anyone posts on RTG there are 2 otr saying its a takeover it's not it's just additional investment and the sale of a shareholder's shares.
Be over the moon with this shares the risk out and could inject a bit of capital into the club as well

A stadium expansion wouldn't please everyone but it would help with FFP, 'square the building' and bring in more internationals, etc ...

... all we'd need, after that, would be the surrounding area tidied up and the monorail <party>

BTW a stadium expansion being paid for by naming rights wouldn't bother me ...

... I was once told, by someone on RTG, that closed tenders had been sent by companies vying for the job.

They'll now have lapsed but the plans will still exist ...

... as long as they choose a good sponsor they can call it what they like, I've been told a long established company are already in talks.

I wonder how big we could go? Could we really get 50k or 55k in? Maybe it is more about events?

Never, ever been bothered about the name of the stadium. It's a great way to get a few quid into the club.

I think you're right, it's for international sport, concerts, big PL games, etc.

Once it's built it will self finance most of the time but bring in profits for big PL games, etc ...

... and the money trickles down to the Hilton, the town and the hospitality places.

Anything that brings money to Sunderland has to be a good thing. The Sheepfolds area, the new bridge and the rest are starting to make that area attractive. I was told a rumour, that's all it was, that planning permission had been discussed by a brewery wanting to buy the Colliery Tavern. They proposed knocking it down and building a two storey pub/restaurant with a roof terrace ...

... I'd be in there tbh and it would be great for new visitors to the SOL.

Tenders were done quite a while back, one of the companies has since gone out of business.

Heard last night it’s Portugal can’t remember who we were playing tho he did say and also a home game against Hearts,
Be surprised if we are playing Hearts at home. Can see us maybe playing them away which would be great for myself and @Scout73
