<peacedove>Last game of the season we are at home to Crystal Palace the FA 2025 winner. Since winning the league we have not been playing well at all. Manchester United legend Roy Keane already had a go at us about this. Our winning the league had been a good omen for Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Tottenham they won major trophies they had not won for a very long time. Newcastle won the league cup, they had not done this for over one hundred years. Crystal Palace won the FA cup for the first time in their history. Tottenham won the Europa cup , the first cup since seventeen years.
Last game of the season, I expect our players to turn up and entertained their loyal supporters.

I hope the players put a bit more effort into this match compared to recent matches

For this game I would like the squad to experiment by only running backwards. I think it will confuse the opposition so instead of pressing us,they will pull us.

Worth a try.

The cup.
Hankerchief to wipe trents eyes.

Strongest starting line up possible minus mac who is getting a rest. Thought would be the case, want to finish on a high lifting the trophy with a win.

With Slot's comments on him, I didn't think Trent would even be on the bench today. He is, and it's guaranteed he'll come on late in the game imo

Will be an interesting one to keep an eye on. I have a feeling he won’t come on.

One side of me is saying prob best to keep him off. Why risk the boos on a day of celebrations.

But the other side thinks what a sad way to end 20 years at the club as vice captain and having been key to winning it all and would be nice just to give him 1 last outing at Anfield and let the crowd just give him a little round of applause.

Do wonder if even he thinks I’d rather just keep head down and stay quiet today though.

I'd love him to come on for a short cameo and receive applause but it's not going to happen.

Because of that, I hope he doesn't come on but have a feeling that, inside three club, they've no idea how the fans feel.

Clubs been on a social media campaign to try show as many as possible there's no hard feelings anywhere but in a couple spots in the stands

They'll decide when the games are ready out and if there's a sizable and unjustified only one conor Bradley chant for most of the gsme.

I mean I feel like everyone knows after 2 weeks ago.

Im amazed the social media team have put so much stuff out there recently showing the ‘summer of 66’ party, then the speeches from TAA at training… they seem to be doing their best to make it about TAA but haven’t read the room at all

The whole thing has been badly handled, imo - by all parties. We've just won the league for the 20th time and all the attention is on one player that's leaving.
I think the only reason we're on Sky is that they hope that there's something they can latch onto and blow up out of all proportion. There are more meaningful games than ours today.
