Gotta be Tonali surely? Barely ever puts a foot wrong and is getting better and better by the game.

He was brilliant first half. Average second half.

But I agree he is our best player.

    Bruno is great.

Isak is also great but I think his heads been turned.

    Botman when fit is class.

Isak was properly celebrating the win on the walk in to the dressing room. Didn't look like a player whose head has been turned. I might be wrong of course. But to me he looked very pleased to be going into that dressing room with the rest of the lads.

Isak always struggles when he's too isolated, which has happened too often and has coincided with Barnes being preferred on the left/Gordon getting an injury.

I understood today, making sure we were solid at the back but what it meant was Murphy/Isak was disrupted and we were too ofter 5-4-1 as opposed to getting in support of him. I don't think his head is turned, but even if he wanted to go doesn't seem the sort to let it effect him, he's very strong minded.

For the OP - Tonali by a mile, has been for some time. It isn't and never will be Barnes.

    Has to be Sandro.

We’ve had others playing brilliantly such as Isak, Burn, Tino to name but some. Sandro though has been class 99% of the time and has been the Conductor to the rest of the orchestra.

After the season Burn has had, you'd love to give it to him, but yeah Tonali is easily player of the season.

It’s a great redemption arc. He’s openly said he owes us too so won’t be going anywhere.

It's Sandro - he's a full on class act. IMO Bruno isn't too far behind. Yes, I love the guy - he joined us, risking his place in the Brazil team, when we were relegation fodder - but there's also that stat about us not winning any (or very few) when Bruno doesn't play.
I guess Isak is carrying an injury at the mo.

It's Sandro but the personality we have in this side is absolutely brilliant. There is an amazing connection with the fans, it's a proper super power. This all comes from Howe and JT though. They are squeezing the maximum out of this squad. IMO Howe is a real trump card in the market and I hope now we have some more spending power this summer we will be able to get a few quality additions in. Players want to play for him.

Yeah think Eddie mentioned a few games ago Isak has/had a groin issue. He looks like he’s playing at 80% to me and not really opening up the throttle or chasing 50/50 balls down. Probably nursing his way to the end of the season for a rest. Played 33/36 league games (41 games in total) so he probably needs a rest to be fair.

Sandro Tonali player of the season, closely followed by BDB and Bruno!

Sandro 100%. Technically superior to every other player.

I also like how he has adapted to the region and embraced the local folk. Seems to really love it here.

Not sure how Bruno gets in to the top 3.

    Mine would be
    Tonali
    Burn
    Hall

Well, because it’s based on personal opinions…

Bruno has captained the team well despite being ****e at the coin toss. Lifted a trophy, lead by example. Not missed a game from what I can remember.

Not saying Hall didn’t do well but Bruno has been mr consistent if Tonali’s been captain fantastic imo.

Bruno has huge patches of being either awful or going missing. Hall was outstanding up until his injury.

Overall it's got to be Tonali, he gets everywhere and runs forever.

Think awful is a bit harsh but yeah he probably had a few games where he's been a 5 or 6/10. But those games are probably less than what Hall's missed for us so far. I think Hall has been fantastic for us though.

For me, the leadership and availability would play a big part alongside general play - plus lifting a trophy as first season in the captain role. Bruno has missed one game (2nd leg vs Arsenal) through accumulation of yellows this year. Last season he played every game bar one (through yellows again). 2 missed games in 2 seasons is an immense effort. Since joining he's missed 8 games in 3.5 years. We've got senior players on the books who played less than 8 times since he joined.
