Manchester City defender Ruben Dias: "It's frustrating to play against a team like them. They don’t even try to play, just wasting time the whole game.

"I don’t even feel like they want to play the game or win the game. They are just sitting around. We tried every way. We had chances but we didn’t score. It is what it is."

Guardiola always used to be full of praise for the manager he’d just pumped 4-0 while playing the ‘right’ way.

There's just this bizarre narrative amongst some managers (and players and fans) that there's a "right way" to play football and teams that don't do it are lesser and should be punished. It's so entitled and false.

It's why I find the way Stokenal have played this season funny. Arteta can use whatever tactics he wants to win games and if it works then good for him. However, when you've been very outspoken in the past it's only fair enough people highlight the hypocrisy. I'm pretty sure it fuels managers (and players and fans) of the other teams, I personally will love it if we beat Arsenal next week playing trash "anti" football, it's great banter.

It got Kompany a new job and look at him now. Russell Martin thought he’d replicate that and just has loads of money and Lucy Pinder licking his bellend daily.
