I hope this isn’t true. After losing targets to them last year, this would be a bad start to the Summer recruitment programme

Shouldn't matter. He has a release clause, if we meet the clause and Huijsen want to come to us, then it doesn't matter if Chelsea bid more.

Jeremie Frimpong 'in talks' with Liverpool. Doesn't pass mito's height test but I've only heard good things about him.
Full backs are a funny group.
As frimpong plays wing back his height is not a great issue.
However as a right full he would be like that titch that plays for Brighton that gakpo just brushed aside.
Full backs as wide attacking players is no issue. The rules are crystal clear there.
However Full backs have to cover their back stick and we've seen too many times where trent and Robertson get laughed at by forwards and it costs us a lot.
So year defensively Full backs have to be of a reasonable height. Not a cb height but
able to leap.
If a guy can make up for lack of stature by getting up off the ground well that's great.

Frimpong is an odd one. Last year he played as a wing back for Leverkusen but I’ve read this year he’s played far more on the wing for them rather than rb (not sure if Leverkusen have gone to a back 4?).
Does seem far more attack minded than defensive so not sure on his ability there but he’s very much get up and support, crosses, getting in the box when ball on opposite side. Whether would be able to get as much freedom in our system is a question.

I'm not sure whether it's an issue but Frimpong also counts as HG.
