Forest dropping points again is good news. We always had to win the Chelsea match. Do that, make it a quadruple over Arsenal and enjoy a relaxing final day of the season.
Hope for a Bournemouth win next, but unfortunately forest have a gimme at home to Leicester next.
It's got to be driving people insane this...2 fanbases are going to get their balls clipped at end of this, and then Man United or Spurs will get in the champions league.
The target is still 69 points if we can get gd over Chelsea anyway. I can't see Newcastle getting 70 and even 69 will be hard.
Hopefully 2 of the other clubs slip up and that number will reduce.
67 enough mate.
2 wins and we can't finish lower than 5th as long as one of them is against chelsea..i think.

We can potentially on gd, but 69 is the current required number, but that could change if villa and forest slip up.
Yes and no. We've won a trophy and will have european football, Chelsea are probably going to win and trophy and get european football and Forest are likely to get some form of european football. Think all those teams would be ok with that really. I could see Villa being unhappy if they miss out as they've invested a lot and it would probably feel like a step back.
If we beat Chelsea and they then win their final two games, they could finish ahead of us on GD but that means that they have beaten Forest who would finish below us..Villa can finish level with us if they win all 3 and we lose to Arsenal..but they would still finish behind us on GD.
Beat Chelsea and we can afford to lose to Arsenal as long as we beat Everton.

I want Europa instead of CL. I think we could win the Europa cup. I want to see us get into the habit of winning cups.
I'm a bit torn too. I do want us to get Champions League (for the money and prestige) but if we have to settle for a smaller european cup it certainly has its merits.
Both the champions league and the Europa league will ruin Newcastles Premier league season, but the EL more so, and for less money.
I'm not going to pretend I'd prefer EL, but I agree, it's a competition Newcastle could very will win, if they keep their best players and add a few more.
Unfortunately I've reached the conclusion that failure to land the CL, will see Isak and potentially other players wanting moves, so we will be an unknown force again.

But surely they are not games in hand then - so they don't count either. We have a game in hand not the other way around. if we were behind with games in hand that would be different. What I said was that games in hand don't count until you've won them.
Ragardless you should know the drill by now.
