Players just don't care about the fans that much at all. They want to win football matches, achieve their goals, and make lots of money. The fans are just there.
In fact quite a few players hate the fans and take the piss out of them in secret.
McManaman, Suarez, Mascherano, Xabi Alonso off the top of my head. Gerrard would have if he hadn’t been threatened with a kneecapping.
And only one of those is still regarded as a club legend by the fans.
Trent basically on Owen levels now
Lol that's a stretch, I thought you more had seething hatred for Owen like we do. Trent surely not thought of like that yet?
Personally? I'm not fussed too much. Hes not our player anymore so I don't care what he does now or how he does. But yeh I'd put him in the Owen bracket personally.
And in the eyes of most Liverpool fans id guess he's definitely in the Owen bracket.

But Trent hasn't done anything really except leaving. Owen went to Man U and stole a title there as reserve striker when Liverpool hadn't won the title for years. Plus stifling Robbie Fowler, badmouthing fans later etc.
It's a matter of opinion and with you not being Liverpool fan I wouldn't expect you to understand the nuances that mean trent will never be a Liverpool great like Gerrard, Kenny ect and he could've been.
The others aren't scouse apart from McManaman and he left Liverpool when they were ****e.
And as I said before I don't care what the others feel.. do... or achieve
I know he'll never be a great, I just think he'll be remembered more fondly than Owen.
