See this is the problem, you are actually right for once, are we just saving the word 'terror' for people of certain demographics.
On the contrary I'd say... were now not using it for people of certain demographics

They should call all incidents of this nature terror....add the words religiously based if they want to define it another way.

Have you already decided this was a Muslim chap <laugh>

He obviously has. <laugh>

I've not carried what I've seen on twitter to here in case it's fake/wrong....but I feel Sucky is going to be massively disappointed when it comes out.

I sneezed at the dinner table yesterday at my mates and they all started pointing to the ceiling saying Alhumdallah. It made me laugh out loud, not sure why, but it did lol

Latest update, 11 dead in Vancouver.

The guy that carried out the attack was known to police and has severe mental health problems. He has had engagement with police in the past. There is no indication or information to believe that this was an ideological event, so NOT political or religion based.

Ages of people killed are 5 to 65

It was a family friendly cultural event, with no history of problems, I think the police are saying there is no way they could have predicted this was going to happen, saying we 'can't create a police state.'

The mayor does acknowledge we need to have discussions around mental health.

Suppose it's much like the UK, if you spend years with austerity measures, and not forgetting the lockdown with covid, those problems are going to end up on the street. We have only to watch parliament or budget briefings to see how much we dismiss MH issues in this country, constantly targeting the apples lower on the tree when talking about cuts - you need to get your resources sorted out first before you ever are going to be able to takle this problem, this is the consequences of of years of neglect around these issues. I'd go as far to say these are copycat events (with todays media coverage of events), with lots of walking ticking time bombs out there. They knew this Vancouver attacker and over time for whatever reasons were unable to deal with him. The mayor is acknowledging we just are not dealing with these problems quick enough (referring to mental health), the reporter responded by saying this is political then!

Terribly sad ... but not much can be done to prevent a 'lone wolf' doing something insane ...

Yeah that's what the cop was saying, it really did sound like a shout for I don't know what you expect us to do....he's right they can't lock everything down, but the question will still be asked, rightly so, why was there not some form of restrictive barrier, my questions would be around that, and how bad was this guys MH and why did it go unhelped, ie why was he on the street, but I expect we can guess the answer to that from UK cases and the lack of help available in these situations.

Whatever the 'celebration' etc, wherever in the world now, there needs to be complete (and effective) pedestrianisation during the event ... the consequences of not doing so are all too horrifying ...

Yup, the overall cost of this one incident will run into $millions.

The morning after the heist, burglar Yunice Abbas went home to catch up on some sleep.

When he woke up, his wife was glued to the TV. The headline news of the day was that American reality TV star Kim Kardashian, then 35, had been tied up and robbed at gunpoint in a luxury Paris apartment.

Yunice Abbas' wife glared at him. "This has you written all over it," she grumbled.

She was right.

The pair of ****s who cut down the Sycamore Gap tree are in court - the tree was valued at £620k so hopefully they are made to pay for it (and more) and also get a good stretch to contemplate their selfish ****ism... utter twats

Leeds crossbow attacker, white male, died from self inflicted injury - good, saves the taxpayer having to keep the ****. I'm not putting his picture up because he looks a **** as well (the picture i've seen anyway).

The BBC article shows a Facebook pic of him wearing a T-Shirt with 'Natural Selection' emblazoned on it ... suspect that's one reason why he targeted women ... they exercised their rights on the subject ...

Yeah that's the one, at least he's not wasting anymore oxygen. Another prick that was able to get hold of a crossbow.
