how are they generating so much revenue? Feels like posturing a pre-emptive fight on FFP

I think the owners are sponsoring St Andrews which gives them a fair chunk but I can’t see what other revenue they’re generating versus other clubs.

On that note we need the SOL to be officially renamed “The Louis Dreyfus Group Stadium of Light”. Nobody will use the full name and it’s an extra £10m+ in the bank :D

Same with Wrexham. Both will spend £15m+

I think both will be in the playoffs next season myself.

I love KLD and our model but I wouldn’t mind at all if we got an owner that got us in a place where we could spend a good few bob on having a go for a change.

This isn’t a dig at KLD mind. We are doing great under this current model. Just would be nice to be the ones hated for spending and doing well for once <laugh>

Don’t think Wrexham will. Birmingham definitely. Wrexham more midtable. Think it’s too big a jump for them and they’d need an entire new team

Sounds like the ramblings of a bull ****ter to me.

Turnover looks like it was around £28m in the latest figures, ours was £38m for example. Sure they will have increased income but also wage costs. And the spending rules are completely different in the Championship compared to League One and Two where an owner can use their own funds for transfers etc.

Should we stay in the same league I'm certain we will be losing players, generating around £40m profit in sales.

He's just bigging it up to increase season card sales.

Wrexham also have one massive problem despite all their income and sponsorships and that’s their manager who’s a cult hero with the fans and so not easy to sack.

No chance. It’s a big jump up from league 1, Wrexham are full of ageing pros.

Most definitely. If we don't go up , we will need to buy a full new CM basically.

Exactly that to me. He’s basically added a few million extra on to players price tag. He’s a typical American, loud and giving it the biggen.

I think we will spend more next year as we will either be premier league or have a lot of money from sales

I think we will see a big squad overhaul regardless of division.

id like wingers, a new balanced midfield and a CB as priority. With the rest then coming depending on who leaves and also bringing in squad depth

Thats sort of my thinking too, play Rigg deeper next season, sign a 10 who actually scores and creates then a big bastard 6.
